Any idea which kids are out?

I think Irontons QB is very underrated. He isn’t gonna wow you but he seems to make a play every time Ironton needs him to. I believe he’s the glue that holds the offense together. Yes you have Terry but a good te will be able to hold him in check but Shrek ….yeah hahah that’s how I’m spelling it haha … keeps the ball rolling in my opinion

Yes but that’s probably not my place to say.

Ironton is really good. Can any Ironton folks or people familiar with their team this season compare them to past Ironton teams. Is this one of the better Ironton teams in recent memory? Cal preps hs them beating every team in KY except Boyle and losing to Boyle by 3. I know they are good but I’m not so sure about that.

I’ve watched Ironton play many times especially in the last 5 years and I think this is the most complete team they have had since the Coach Bob Lutz days in the late 90’s/early 2000’s.

Their teams in the last few years have been good but have been somewhat one dimensional.  This team has playmakers  all across the field on both side of the ball.  Their special teams are stout too and if their return guys have the ball they can score on any given play.

Their head coach gave up the play calling this year and hired a OC. They are definitely better on that side of the ball than that have been in the past several years. This is probably one of their deepest teams they’ve had in years as well.

Believe it or not but I actually hope Pikeville wins.  I’ll always cheer for the KY team over an out of state team.  Realistically speaking I don’t think Pikeville has the horses to beat Ironton this year.  We will see in a few hours.

Well Blaze since I think you are a honest poster I don’t either I was just aggravating RAMDAD50 and I just hope they come out healthy and not lose any players to injury because I think they are going to have a tough time making back to the championship with what I have seen out of them this year but good luck to the Rams tonight

I think you are correct.  I think it would have been a better game if everyone were healthy and Pikeville continued to use the pass. I also think you are spot on and Ironton will get a special teams TD if Pikeville doesn’t just kick it out of bounds.  Ironton may onside kick as well.  I know many have seen their formation and highlight earlier this year when they did that.

Would love to see a close game but just can't see it. As bad as special teams have been just cleaning that up would be enough for me tonight.

Well we all had this one wrong…

Halftime 21-21.
Pikeville special teams has faltered time and again so far this half, yet their offense and defense has stepped up aggressively.

A ton of penalties on Ironton.

I want Pikeville to win but dang boys….how bout we play 11 on 11. Ironton will have to beat Pikeville and the refs to if they wanna win this one

SURPRISE!!!

If you saw the game, you'd see why.

Go ahead. Tell us. Refs had a Airbnb at the 50 yard line and fully dressed with Ironton flags so the puttytats would be able to compete.

It gets old - but it's all in good fun ?

Many on here predicted a 4-5  touchdown Ironton victory. A couple even predicted a running clock.

Surprise ?

Pikeville…..Home of where the referees walk right out of the house and onto the field. There is an Ohio sports talk sight and some of the Ironton fans said the they thought Pikeville parents were reffing the game.
#54
Watch the game and you’ll see several missed holds against Ironton and a hurdle they ignored but whatever narrative makes folks feel better. Those pesky refs at Kroger must be on the take too.

Yea man Ironton fans act just like the Ram fans. Only difference is I thought the Ironton fans would have some class seeing they have won the big game and are a storied programs. But nah u all the same . No class !!’
#56
We were shown clips of the some of the plays in the game and Pikeville players should have been arrested for some of the penalties we didn’t see. Not defending Ironton because we’ve played over there and it may be as bad as I’ve seen.
#57
Belichick won’t have to worry about seeing them again this year they won’t make
It. All talk !!

RAD and Ramdad just like to stir the pot. All good. Ironton is a good team. They have a few kids and fans who don’t know how to act but I respect their team talent. Shaun Terry is a great athlete. Attitude will get checked at next level. He saved Ironton today. They lose without him. If Pikeville plays like they did tonight and gets healthy (5 starters out tonight), unless Campbellsville has more than I think, Pikeville is winning it again. Anthony looked better than he has in weeks. Panthers have a bye and then Paintsville so they should get much healthier in the next few weeks.
#59
The officiating was terrible for both teams, so don’t try and say it was home cooking. Special teams killed Pikeville again. The score was tied 27-27 half way thru the 4th quarter. Ironton’s scores on a 4th and 22, that won the game for them. I was very impressed with Pikeville’s effort, I don’t think Ironton was expecting that type of game. The Panthers finally get the bye week to heal up and rest, and then on to district play. After the gauntlet of a schedule they just finished, look out Class A, Pikeville will be healthy and pissed off.

Raceland fans whining about Pikeville playing Ironton tooth and nail with 5 starters out is classic. I can smell the fear from here.
