I’m going with the boys in red. It’s been a helluva senior season for my boys and his buddies. We’ve played some great hard nosed football. Don’t really care who beat who bu how many points. That crap doesn’t matter. You gauge a team by how they play on the field. I’ve not watched Boyle , and no disrespect, don’t really care how good they are or who’ve they beat. To be the man , you’ve gotta beat the man. Of course both fans bases believe their team is gonna win as they should. Like coach said all we can control is how we play. If we come out and play like we’re capable of we’ll win. If we don’t then Boyle wins. Either way I just pray our boys play their hearts out like the have been all year. Boyle fans don’t expect this team to quit if they’re down. Trust me they won’t. I believe we’re pretty even except special teams. We have a huge advantage there. Again, no disrespect but we have the best kicker/punter in the state. It’s gonna be a slug fest for sure. I’ll keep my prediction to myself. Special teams will be huge in this game. Praying for a injury free game on both sides. Go Hounds! Bring it back to eastern ky !!!

Sadly,  I fear that Coach Haddix is going to remind Corbin administrators time and time and time again that they made the biggest faux pas in the history of Corbin Redhound football by  running the best young coach in the state out of Corbin. I fear it will end up costing Corbin multiple state titles (has already cost them one)and the continued drought will serve as a constant and bitter reminder of how the good ol' boys sacrificed a potential Title Town for their own bedeviled sense of  an Entitled Town.

I hope that the Corbin youngsters go out next Friday and prove that my fear is nothing more than an irrational fear of an aging, nostalgic old fool who played ball in the sandlots with the likes of John Crawford, Tom E. Greer, David Cox and many more of Corbin's "good ol' boys."  Maybe my opinion of them is skewed by the fact that I remember how fantastically unintelligent they were as kids. All this aside, what can't be denied is the unintelligent decision that was made in chasing Haddix out of town.

I am 100% behind these Corbin kids as they journey to Lexington in search of the school's first varsity state title in 40 years.  It is hard to even type that.... 40 years!!!!  Almost impossible to believe. Mayfield won 12 titles in 38 years. Corbin with NONE in 40 years!!! Thanks a lot, Corbin "elites."

These Corbin kids seem focused and they have a ton of heart. Their leaders on the sidelines let them down last season. Will this season end with making amends or breaking more hearts?  I fear the latter but I beg the universe for the former.

GO HOUNDS!!!
Preach it ……

Thats right PJDOUG! Sgt. Slaughter wasn't throwing any shade saying Boyle didn't have any talent there by no means. Anyone that has followed football this year knows how special and dangerous Quisenberry is on the punt returns and kickoff returns. Jacob Baker has been dominate for Corbin in the field goal department and kickoffs. He puts most of the kickoffs in the endzone. Honestly, Corbin hasn't punted much this season. PJ, I got a extra ticket if you want to come to the big show and sit with my bunch... If I can talk them into eating steak, you know like twist there arms and stuff, we might get to eat too..  No , in all seriousness, huge cerebral advantange on the sidelines for Boyle County.

Maybe so. But it’s kinda hard to return the ball when it’s in the end zone every time. I don’t care how good he is, it’s kind of hard to return a 50 yd punt with 5 second hang time. Obviously you have no clue what our kicker/punter does. Lol and special teams consist of more than returns. Your kicking game is far less superior than ours. If you haven’t watched tape , our returners have returned several kick offs back as well. Yours isn’t any better than ours.

Any Corbin coach that directs the kicker or punter to kick anywhere in the vicinity of Quisenberry should be fired in the spot. I mean, go down to the sidelines, remove his headset, and escort him the hell out of the facility.

If anyone thinks they will blow the other team out then they honestly havn't seen either team. I have watched  both teams play against there best competition of the season IMO and I honestly think this one wll come down to who wants it more on the field. We all will get to see who wants it more.. This is going to be one for the ages...Too many playmakers on the field for this one. Its going to be a dandy.

Corbin has had a good year and beat some good teams. Still can't see them beating Boyle. Haddix will add another ring. Boyle wins by a couple scores.

If every punt is a 50 yarder with a 5 second hang time, Corbin not only has the best punter in the state--he's a top 5 punter in the NFL right now.  Only 5 punters on the planet have those stats and one of them kicks for Corbin High School.  Amazing.
