I remember a cartoon depicting Dan Quayle holding up a sign that read "Will werk 4 fud".
This was after he misspelled potato in a public forum.

I heard Chris Gamble from Magoffin County was the front runner for the Hazard position.

Heard this morning that the search for a new coach at Boyle has begun, haven’t heard anything official about Smith leaving but the source follows Boyle football as close as anyone.

Jack,

One of my sources close to South Warren says Brandon isnt leaving. IF... that is the case, where does Boyle turn?
#40
Just got another text saying Smith told the team this morning that he was retiring, as far as Brandon is concerned I’m hearing that the job is his if he wants it and I’m hearing he’s more than likely going to take it time will tell.

If Brandon doesn’t take it then I’m not sure it’s going to be hard to replace a hall of fame coach like Chuck, I heard rumors last year that Jacob Tamme was a possible replacement for Smith I like Jacob but he’s unproven as a coach.

I signed myself out of the hospital one time to watch ^him play!

Whomever the new HC, they have to name his ASAP or at least when school resumes back from Christmas break... cause soon after kids return, winter weight lifting starts, February/ March/ spring football. Jack, sent you a PM. Answer me back bro lol.

I checked my inbox and for whatever reason I haven’t received your pm, I’ll check again.

I’m now being told that it is official Chuck has turned in his letter of resignation.

He resigned this morning.

That's is what I was PMing you about. I could have told you that lol. A mom and a good friend on the team told me early this morning. Submitted his resignation to retire and addressed his team.

I don't see a need to have a new coach in place quickly. Aside from Chuck and Pardue they still have 4 more assistants who have been head coaches and an off-season system already in place. Ideally I think they would like to have his replacement named early in 2021 but no dire need to.

You mean 2020? Or 2021?

Big time job there

People may know the school name more than Covington Catholic, but Moeller is not a bed of roses right now. They have a current administration and school boosters who have a reputation for being very difficult to work with, and they have a community and alumni who expect state championships out of "Big Moe" at every turn. The GCL South is no joke, and a state championship means having to go through Cincinnati St. X, Elder, and Colerain to even get to the state finals. That's no small task.

Coach Eviston currently has a community that is 100% behind him, and an administration that does every single thing they can to back him on all counts. He came to take a high school head coaching job from a college offensive coordinating job, so I don't know that I think moving into a "big time job" or bigger and better things are necessarily the number one priority for him. But that could just be me.

Moeller hired Mark Elder from EKU.

Moeller doesn’t even have an on campus football stadium. Cov caths facilities are some of the best in the stage and getting better.

Coach Eviston has been welcomed in to the colonel community with open arms. He’s treated like family. I’m pretty sure he truly appreciates that. I know he loves and believes in the school. I’m not saying he won’t leave eventually, I just don’t see the moeller coaching position as a big step forward currently. At least not a transfer coach eviston would be interested in.

I have been hearing that Grizzle is leaving Greenup County to be the next Head coach at Hazard.
#55
Grizzle will be a bulldog.

That’s a great hire for them and for Coach Grizzle.

Anyone heard anything about Bryan Station next Coach?

Hazard has interviewed Grizzle. But they are also still reaching out to other coaches and requesting that they interview for the job. Seems like Grizzle may not be such a lock for the job.

Interesting development

ADI reports he’s leaving and going to Hazard. Finishing out the year as a teacher but a new coaching hire will happen ASAP
