Class 2A State Championship: Somerset vs Mayfield
On 24/7 sports it has Kade Neely with a 4.8 40 yard dash at the Opening Regional in May, 2019. If that is the case, there are several Jumpers that can “hang” with him.

Did it tell that this was back when he was battling an ankle injury?

No, it doesn’t. Normally athletes will “scrub” their scores at a national combine if they aren’t up to their normal numbers. They are instructed to do so while there so that no misinformation is given to the public. 4.8 isn’t a bad number but if no one on Somerset’s team can hang with him then he needs to be a 4.6 or so and if you are a 4.6 kid then you don’t let the biggest combine in the nation publish 4.8. Not taking anything against the kid, can’t wait to watch him play but you guys were looking for a little banter so here is where I will start.
Neely runs. looks like he is not fast. I am amazed at how he runs after the catch when it appears he is going to be stopped and he runs for a touchdown.
Neely looks like a average runner after the catch... like hes about to get caught for a 20 yard gain... then you reach down to grab your drink, and hes celebrating in the endzone... kind of mesmerizing to watch

Why is he running a 40 yard dash with an ankle injury? Some of you are full of $h*t as a Christmas turkey.

of course he is fast and very talented, but saying Somerset doesn't have anybody that can hang with him is a stretch.

I'm looking forward to the matchups... let's see who has to order a plate of crow

He had been since last football season. He played b-ball with it and got it fixed. Was still healing. I’m guessing he wanted a scholarship, so he felt like he had to make all the combines to get noticed. He is most definitely a blue collar worker.
I do think there will be players that can match up pretty well with Neely. But, don’t underestimate his abilities. There hasn’t been anyone thus far this year that could take him out of the game. May be because if you try too hard, you get burnt by Perry, Daniel or Puckett.

and apparently mustard on your BBQ... gross
I really wish they would had utilized Markizeo more than wat they do.. a game like this, he would definitely add a different dimension...kid is a bull he has all the tools to be a d1..a game like this we need him forsure in that position.. nothing like linning up on the opposing team an looking at a 230lb 6'3" running back that has speed an power...what a uneasy feeling that must be.. :CE_DP_Ste :CE_DP_Ste
:lmao:

Mayfield will see just that in 2 of Somerset’s backs. Should be fun!

Not liking mustard is gross. I love Carolina barbecue and Kentucky barbecue Smile
Can we all just get along? I’m happy to be here and only here so I don’t get fined
See below video: The individual shaking all over. That's the kind of crazed thumper Mayfield used to have every year. Someone who made opponents want to get off the field? It confuses me how so many of the old faithful don't see this or acknowledge this critical detail and feel so confident in predicting victory? You cant out "offense" every team into submission. Regardless I'm rooting for the Cards 100%. But even with victory, this team is not as good as the 2017 or 2018 teams. If they win it's because Somerset is just less than CAL and Danville. Just an opinion. https://twitter.com/KYHighFootball/statu...25344?s=09

Why don't they run him more then they do? Does he play a key role on defense? That's what limits the touches for Bruner and Garland for Somerset.

Walt, the kid he is referring to is our MLB. However, he is much better at RB. He normally lines up at RB for short yardage. More often then not, when he lines up for short yardage, it becomes a big play instead. He really is a load. He is fast and strong.
He is #11 if you watch video.

One of them will be playing at UK next season. And I don't think they're as fast as Smoke, Rose and co.

I saw where it looked like he had a high % of touchdowns to carries. I figured he had to play a key role on defense to have his touches limited.
Yep.. mlb.. he is valuable on D .. but i think they shoulda gave him more touches.. if we were only a lil deeper at mlb it could free him up.. he woulda made a amazing rb..reminds me of that hightower kid we faced from madi.
