Both are good, but it ain’t like being the best player in Kentucky gets you a $500 gift certificate to Dave and busters so who gives a sh!t right now? None of the 4 teams left are guaranteed anything, id
Be worried about that right now

It don’t get you an offer from UK either apparently...

Reese has a UK offer.

And for the record I Just like to argue.

It’s hard for me to 2nd guess Vince marrow, but there are several players in ky right now that haven’t been offered and should be. But, if it were me right now, I’d take the D&B’s card haha. I’m hungry....

Kevin Jones is Ad for Wayne Co.
Tyler Guffey has called the plays all year for Wayne Co.

They wanted him to play DB right? Not saying he couldn’t but I understand why he went to WV instead, not sure why any kid that plays WR would want to go to UK right now...

Yep.

They wanted him at Safety.

FoSho you made basically the same comments last week and seems you either don't like Wayne Co at all or jealous of a super high school player. You will probably really be shocked if Wayne was to pull off an upset.

Kid will blow up at WV under Neil Brown...

FoSho is a Boyle Co homer u have to understand that period, nothing wrong with it I’m a Corbin homer...I’d say he wants to see Sloan succeed just as much as any of the rest of us do if truth be told...but if Wayne Co beats Johnson Central next week he won’t be the only one shocked...Just sayin...

I think he's a great player but someone made the comment he's the best in Kentucky or something like that and I know better.

The Wayne Co schedule is weak (Corbin is not the same team as last season).

Johnson Central is a different story. If he torches JC then I'll give him props.

Reese Smith's stats have benefited greatly because they were compiled against relatively weak competition. Not once do I recall you disparaging his stats because of the level of BC's competition.

Before you point out all of the weak teams on JC's schedule, don't bother because nobody is likely to argue the point with you. The fact is most of Kentucky's high school football teams are relatively weak but all teams still have to play a full district schedule. By touting Smith's amazing stats all season long and disparaging Sloan's accomplishments, you are applying a double standard.

I’ve almost completely quit posting on this site for this exact reason...guys let’s cool it as fans we’re never gonna agree when it comes to the kids associated with our programs and the kids do not deserve the ridicule, and I’m not pointing fingers I’m saying let’s get back on topic...Wayne Co won and congrats to them...my hounds are back to the grind of the off season, good luck to everyone still playing...

There is literally ZERO comparison between the schedule and talent Boyle Co has played versus what Wayne Co has played.

Besides we played them in 2017 (Wayne Cos best team ever) and in 2018 and thoroughly beat them both years.

We'll know how good they are vs JC and I think it'll be ugly early.

I'll drop it from my end.

I wish Wayne Co good luck (and JC) and I hope it's a great game with no injuries.

Was the 2017 team better than the 2013 team that went 14-1 and beat Corbin, Central and Paducah Tilghman in the playoffs before losing 3-0 to Belfry in the finals?

Technically the average opponent team rating for Boyle is around 5400 according to Calpreps and around 5700 for Wayne County. That’s pretty close.

Not sure how 2017 and 2018 games are relevant. By that logic Wayne just beat the team that beat Boyle Co. last year.

I’ll save my JC vs Wayne talk for that thread.

Congrats Cards on another district championship!!

Nope.
They didn’t play Boyle County. Lol

Ok, their second best team.

🙄

Guys please get back on topic, or make a thread to discuss a different one.

And be careful about talking by name about any student athlete.

Wayne counties best team ever was defeated by Belfry in the final. A final that Boyle county didn't even sniff that season. Let's not put things in some crazy agenda.

As for this topic, Corbin might not be Corbin of the last 3 seasons, but they are still Redhounds with great fundamentals. The Wayne RB was able to carve it up to a tune of 2, maybe 3 running backs, dream games.

FoSho Wrote:I'm not starting anything. He's a great player but he's not a better football player than Reese Smith and it's not close.

I will say this. If he can continue to do this moving forward (big boy football) then I'll admit I'm wrong. Good luck at Johnson Central.

Oh it's close. Boyle's overall talent is 100 miles ahead of Wayne however.

Way to go Wayne! :-)

Cards1947 Wrote:All week long i watched all the predictions on here and i'd say it was probably 75 to 25% Corbin wins. Don't think there was anyone from Wayne that did any commenting. Corbin is a really good football team but we knew they did not witness the real Braedon Sloan in the rain. Young man is good enough to put a team on his back and carry them. The young quarterback Corbin has is a winner also, he can flat throw the ball and has several good recievers that can catch it.
I picked Wayne county to win 28-27, you can go back and look on the predictions thread, Wayne county has a heck of football team led by there running back. The better team won. Wayne county has built up a nice program, congrats to Wayne county on the win and congrats to Corbin on hard fought season!!
