Corbin 33 Bell County 14
Granny Bear Wrote:Is London the QB from Bell? #4?

That child is amazing!!

yes granny
Granny, he is from Middlesboro by way of Knoxville. Never been in a Bell County School.
Jaguarhoundbird Wrote:Who was the crew for Friday's game?

Tim Kelley, Ron Edwards, Petie Gilbert, Steve Vance and Danny Griffin!!
Granny Bear Wrote:The Bell Co players WERE throwing punches. Corbin wasn't innocent at all and I think I've covered that. I saw one Corbin player nearly pull another Corbin player's jersy off trying to get him out of the way. There was very little difference in the attitudes of both teams. However, when the BC player went down with leg cramps, Hilton stomped the entire way across the field flailing his arms and acting like a spoiled kid. I saw much more of his antics than those from Haddix. Guess that was just the camera angle. But his refusal to shake hands after the game is just inexcusable, in my opinion. Terrible example for the team.

Following this and that should really be enough, wouldn’t it be better to say BOTH teams let the emotions get to them. Big game among young teenaged kids instead of throwing one group of players under the bus like that. Both teams were jawing and both teams had some inexcusable things happen.
I don’t mind anyone voicing their opinions on coaches, your dislike of Coach Hilton is quite evident. You really don’t know why Coach was going that way, good though that State Police did intervene. Could’ve gotten very ugly very quickly. Coach Hilton is a great coach, as is Coach Haddix. I’m sure any coach Coach would try to protect a player and don’t worry what others think.
If you go back and read something’s you said, then it’s painting an inaccurate picture. As adults we should all know better.
Superfly Wrote:I was impressed on how Corbin just ran it down their throat. One problem Corbin does have though, if Bells QB could pass , watch out. A mobile QB who can through will run all over Corbin

I disagree. We stopped Danville’s QB

She did say Corbin players were at fault as well. She just said she didn’t see them throw punches. That doesn’t mean they didn’t. I’m sure they probably did. But I didn’t see Corbin throw punches either and I was there. Like I said, not saying they didn’t. Sometimes you just don’t catch everything.

As far as Hilton. At the TIME, I don’t know why he ran across waving his arms like a psycho 2 year old. Unless it was over a Corbin coach over there helping the kid and making sure he was ok?

It went both ways, both teams were letting emotions get out of hand. Both Bell and Corbin did there fair share of jawing and shoving.

It had nothing to do with the Corbin coach or trainer attending to the Bell player. Not going into detail, but you did see the State Police go across the field, I did and the officiating crew should’ve taken care of the problem following KHSAA rules.

On a side note, Corbin has a good team. They won the line of scrimmage where most games are won. Bell is a much improved team and will continue to get better. Hilton is one of the best at getting constant improvement out of teams.

This goes both ways also, games over instead of arguing about what happened we should and I have expressed to people who count that I didn’t, like some of the conduct that was seen. Whether we like each other’s programs or not is besides the point I never want to see any child get hurt maliciously whether they’re wearing red or blue things need to be straight before these teams ever take the field again and god help us if the same clowns are officiating the next game too!

It’s hard not to like the kid, I never seen any antics out of him either just played his tail off all night long, played like it’s supposed to be played!!
Well Bell.. you talked all week. Players, coaches, community alike. Woke up the bear then got bit. Bell had one touchdown where the QB dropped the snap and picked the ball up and ran in. Had another where defense broke down and he scored with no time left. Bells lucky this one wasn’t 49-7.

Both teams better clean up there games or they could both bow out earlier in the playoffs than expected. I realize this officiating crew was poor, but, not all those penalties were unwarranted. Plus, those turnovers weren't caused by the refs.. Both teams have the talent to make strong runs when they play clean. Corbin is clearly a Top 5 team in 3a and Bell is clearly a Top 10 team, so the potential is there. Good luck the rest of the season to both teams.
Only teams on Corbins level are Boyle and Belfry. Whoever wins that side of the bracket in weeks 3-4 will be the champions of 3a.

To your first statement. Yes! Absolutely! Both were. And I’m sure without reasonable doubt Corbin probably got a few cheap shots in. Now I didn’t see them. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. Like I said.

As for your 2nd statement. I know what happened. And first and foremost, those Corbin fans were in the wrong and JACK@ss’s. But let it be known as well, it was also a young man from Corbin who shut them up as well. It wasn’t right what they were doing and it doesn’t represent us. But bells hands weren’t clean in that regard either with fans and some choice words I heard. It’s a heated rivalry. It happens. But I don’t condone it on either side. I’m just saying.

But as far as Dud, there is no way he could have heard what was happening from where they were. That’s my honest opinion.

I hope the next game if it comes to be is a little more class act on both sides. But I honestly don’t see it, sadly.

But to touch on what granny was trying to say I think. Is NO ONES hands were clean that game. Except maybe the refs after handling all that laundry they threw

If it makes any difference bobcat, I don’t think he’s ours haha. But they’ll lump him with us anyways. He does make a good point though. It could have been 49-7. It could have also been 33-34. It was one of those weird games. That lasted foreeeeeever (sandlot kids voice)

Man I’d love to have central’s cakenwalk this year!! But he’s most likely it will come from the east.

It couldn’t have been 33-34. Not enough big plays from bell to have done that. You don’t have to suck up to every fan base on here. The fumble on the 2 cost one score, and burning time at the end of the cost another. When corbins QB is healthy it won’t be close. He kept it once and you saw what happened. Untouched

Don't act like Corbin is the only team that shot themselves in the foot. Bell had 2 fumbles (1 led directly to a TD and the other we were driving the ball inside the Corbin 30 I believe) and didn't execute on the goal line. Both teams are kicking themselves for mistakes.

1 thin I think most would agree with is there should be some extra running or some sort of punishment from all the personal fouls for both teams today.

Hahaha suck up to every team on here? Is that what you would call giving respect where it’s due? How would you even know with your whole 15 posts youve contributed.

What about their fumbles? Yes it could have easily been 33-34 due to their big play ability. That’s really all they have. And obviously genius there wasn’t enough big plays from them, that’s why it wasn’t 33-34 haha SMHD. I mean did you really just say that? That’s like saying well Corbin didn’t put up 50 because we didn’t score enough points hahaha. So go spew your hate and arrogance elsewhere. There was already enough on the field.

Our QB is healthy.

Arjay don’t even entertain this fool. He just wants to stir the pot behind a screen. Bell is a good team. I don’t think we are a running clock score better than them but I do think we’re 4 TDS better. And that game could have gone a lot of different ways regardless of what he seems to “think”.
I was asked by fans from both sides to give my thoughts about this game. I was asked before smoke asked! I must have been out of my mind to write an honest assessment!!

I won't make that mistake again.

No one needs to agree with me, but what I wrote was my honest opinion. I won't comment any further.

I guess now you know which fan based support Granny Bear for BGR President in 2020. I’m with her :Cheerlead
You can’t be objective on here without someone claiming you’re either a homer, suck up, or just getting out right defensive about it.

I’ll be the first to say Bell county impressed me with how much they’ve improved. Now with that said, you take away the two they added to the team and it’s a running clock. But still as of right now they’re a good team. I think they should be ahead of lex cath. I’d love to see that game. And it kills me to say that because I’ll be honest. I Hate bell county. Not the players. Just bell county football. Mainly dud but we’ve had a history. But I’m sure people hate us too. It’s evident. But people, including CORBIN fans, need to learn to take criticism. Every team in this class is VERY far from unbeatable. #1 Boyle Boyle beat Hardin by a touchdown. Belfry isn’t the belfry of a couple years ago. Corbin has yet to peak I think, but still go best by mayfield. After that it’s anyone’s game. Every team has weaknesses, it’s a message board, it’s going to get called out. Take, eat it, refute it if you want. But it don’t have to be personal. Remember it’s just a game.

I agree and by the way corbin s QB is a heck of player

If you think it could’ve easily been 33-34 you don’t know football. But that’s okay. I just spit out facts, and if you don’t wanna hear them then pay no mind.
And your last statement tells me for a fact you don’t know half as much as you think you do.

Well said buddy, i homered pretty hard last week to stir the pot but all in good fun. I’ve got several classy friends from Bell, everyone has flaws Confusednicker:, but seriously I’d do anything I could to help them, unless it was gonna help the football team or Dud profit. Those days on the field against his teams are burned into my brain and he’s always had his antics especially when it came to Corbin. Like I said though game over and sure Bell Co has improved a lot, till next time good luck Bobcats (except Hilton :flushSmile hope you all stay healthy and see you in a few weeks.
