I got to watch this game live. Corbin may have won by 60. Bell might have won by two. The first half was exciting football. The second half the refs took over and Sucked both crowds out of it. That place should have been rocking but it was a very boring game. 250 yards in penalties. Just insane. Either both teams are very undisciplined or the refs wanted to be seen. I have a hard time believing any Corbin or Bell team is undisciplined this late in the season.

I was looking forward to seeing Coach Hilton shake Coach Haddix hand. It didn’t happened folks.........Attitude starts with the Coach, With that said goodnight :welcome: back to Corbin bobcats
#39
Not gonna be a party on the C in the playoffs either. Agree on Hilton. No excuse whatsoever to not shake Haddix hand on 3 opportunities. And he namecalls and whines. Say what ya want Bell, that’s not a good way to lead a team of teenagers to anything.

Good game tonight for both teams. Corbin has a decent team. Was excited to see 2 teams battle it out on the field but only was able 2 see an officiating crew absolutely make it horrible for both teams. Bell needs to clean up the turnovers moving forward and they’ll be fine. I think a playoff game with a different officiating crew will be great for both teams.

coach Hilton said it best it best in post game just keep working hard keep heads up Corbin has a good team proud of our boys if anyone cant see the improvement dk much about football or cant see thru their specsConfusednicker:

I’m a Bell fan first and foremost and really disappointed as a fan in general about how both teams played so undisciplined and out of control really took away from a hard fought game with that said I still have confidence in our team you can gain a lot from a loss congrats to Corbin also as a side note after what I witnessed tonight with that crew I’ve officially retired my criticism of Napoleon and his crew never thought I’d say that lol

This rematch will be very interesting in about 5 weeks🤔 congrats to the Redhounds!

Serious question. Didn’t watch or get to go. Was Dudley being Dudley - I got cheated, I could have won the game as the coach because I’m a genius, I am always the best. Not shaking hands.

Or was it a celebration by Corbin that didn’t allow for a handshake?

Not shaking hands is pretty sHi77y as a hs football head coach when your feelings are hurt. Esp if you lose. In my opinion. You treat it the same win lose or draw.

Doesn’t sound like either team handled the chippiness well but I would bet without Dudley’s two transfers it’d still be a running clock. Corbin will get better as well before the next matchup. So I’d see no difference in round three at Corbin.

Nice win Hounds.
#47
Did Hilton really have KSP escorts? Zebras shouldn’t be allow to influence the game. As someone posted before, I think the schedule really paid off for the hounds. Hard fought game. Good luck to both teams as they advance.

Corbin didn’t celebrate so to say. They did gather at the 50 and take a knee for about 3 or 4 minutes.
All players and most coaches shook hands....

Gotcha thanks. Heard that Haddix and Hilton didn’t exchange handshakes.

No excuse for that if so.
#50
Congrats Red Dogs!

I’m not talking smack but Haddix flat out coached Hilton tonight. Bell is much improved but the score is about what it should’ve been. The refs were terrible both ways.
#52
i feel Corbin would have blown this game wide open if not for the fumble at the 2 after the kickoff return. But that’s football, just like the Bell fumbles. Then we start responding to the Bell taunts and play the way Dudley wants it to be played, ugly play is the only chance Bell had to win this game. Bell had the crew they wanted calling the game, at least 2 are from Bell.
Refs allowed this game to get out of control and could never regain control. I’m not sure the refs would want the attention because most of them are too old and slow to ref a youth game. The umpire struggles to bend over to spot the ball most times.
Corbin chose to run the ball and not go with their bread and butter passing game. Estep’s best play was a 25 yard run fora TD, his only run of the night.
Bell is improved due to #4 and #25 but that’s about it.

Listen, it pains me to say this but Haddix is a great coach, and a great play caller. With that said how you can say he flat out coached Dud baffles me. Corbin lined up and ran the ball down our throat & we couldn't stop em. Corbin has more talent and more kids and we're not there yet. Dudley calls the offense not the defense, and we did move the football some. So Dud was actually coaching against Tom Greer, who is also a great coach. Haddix didn't out coach Dud. Y'all just beat us plain & simple.
#54
#4 is a heck of a player. Besides him scrambling around making runs out of nothing, bell doesn't have much else. Not sure how many schools would keep a coach around that consistently doesn't shake hands after games but it's bell co so.....

I have been critical of our schedule and it showed tonight. Haddix went to power run a elementary coach should have known from the last two years that We have been soft on power run. So Haddix outcoached no one. Basically him not coming out in power tells me he didn’t do any homework or was overconfident either way a mistake. Congratulations Hounds , I was wrong on outcome, can’t wait till rematch.
#56
Bell thought they were going to come in and be the more physical team. That didn't happen.

If you can defend the Belly, Hilton can't produce enough offense outside of his bread and butter to beat you.

I equate Dudley to a lot of the Corbin teams prior to Haddix. He is as good as his players are. That's about if.

Some of the officials were from Bell County. But they are from MIDDLESBORO! Bell and Middlesboro hate each other much like Corbin and Bell (not the people just the name in the jersey). I'm not saying they cheated or anything like that, but there was no favoritism.

Hound05 Wrote:I’m just glad we won’t have those refs again. It’s hard for us to run the spread and no huddle offense when there’s a flag every other play. #4 for bell has to be one of the fastest players we will see this year. Probably the fastest.

Alzheimers does benefit some. Surely you can remember some fast kids from other teams. I can.

There was no out-coached comments that should be made about tonight. Coach Hilton's offensive game plan was awesome as seen by the 98 yard drive early. But fumbles and penalties and a goal line stand by Corbin were huge.
Corbin is bigger and stronger up front and probably deeper at skill positions. They played to their strengths. And Bell played to theirs. We have a QB, RB, and FB that are really good. Frazier did fumble a couple times, but other than that he was effective and is a dandy running back.
I look forward to a re-match.
