When you do lose it dont look as bad on you as a coach and you can say we played our kids. It's not the schools or coaches fault when kids transfer in so the coach should play the best players no matter where they are from or who they are. When a coach says i won't play a kid because he's not from here he should be fired. No good will do that

A loss is a loss. Doesn't matter who is on the floor. And may not be participation trophies, BUT I'm pretty sure this "everyone gets a turn, everyone plays" ends in bitty league. Don't like it, maybe you & your children shouldn't be in athletics....
The kids live in Perry County therefore they deserve to be on the team. It doesn't matter where they were born or first lived when their family has moved to the area. If they happen to be better, so be it. It's not for bluegrassrivals to decide..that's on the coach

Sometimes that helps with talent, but you can see with Cordia, Perry and JBS that the team more talented isn't always better. Those kids at Buckhorn weren't the most talented kids, but they were really good and played together their whole lives. That goes a long way.
Hatcher didn't drive up to New York and pick up Jaysean Paige like people think. They hadn't heard of the kid until the day he showed up at Perry. BB King didn't go over to East Ridge and make them fire Raymond Justice so they could pick up Raymond and Camron in a package deal. If Elisha Justice was still at JBS, we wouldn't be having this conversation because these kids would have stayed there.
These families went to somewhere that could get them where they wanted to go.
Basketball around here sure is a lot more complicated than it used to be, but teams in the 14th can look at Buckhorn for the example of how to put your head down and handle business.
I miss the passion that used to be in these kids when it came time for Hazard vs Perry. Maybe we'll get back there soon.
Paige was going to one of them Prep school in VA or West VA. he got kick out of that school, and they call one of the coaches at PCC. and ask if he can play that year here. when PCC lost to Buckhorn in the t-ment. his mom went back to NY, PCC told them if they take him back to NY with them, they will have to pay all of money back to them. before you talk about shit you don't know shut up about it. also they made up a job at RW Combs for his mom to work there.

it will be funny as hell if PCC will win the state. if the KHSAA take it way from them because they play them two player.
how many people will be call the KHSAA over that the next few weeks.
also isn't this the same thing that Cordia got in trouble for doing.

First of all, I'm not a grade schooler so you can refrain from telling me to shut up.
Second, you are crazy.
Third, no one can deny the facts I lay before them. I said the folks at Perry didn't know about Paige until the day he showed up. That is all I said. That is a fact. You can't deny it. All the extra-curricular stuff you're talking about cannot be corroborated and due to the fact you have inaccuracies in your first sentence (or what should be a sentence) I doubt the second half of it is true.

No, it isn't.

Let me start by saying I don't have a dog in the fight. I do find it hilarious that some people get on here and act like PCC or any school in the 14th region doesn't know about transfers before they happen. That's a joke, PCC, KCC, & Hazard were all crying when Cordia was doing it but it's ok when they get "lucky" and have a stud transfer in. Don't get me wrong I think it was wrong for Cordia to do what they did but it isn't anything any of the big schools hasn't done so come down off the high horse. Basketball in Kentucky is in serious trouble as a whole, the interest just isn't there anymore. I truly believe that recruiting has been a big part of that. People just aren't going to pay to watch kids they don't know play basketball, when they can stay home and watch college or NBA on TV.

if that is the case. way is it I know that someone from NY was coming to PCC 2 or 3 weeks before he got here. I didn't knew his name. but saying that people don't know that stuff before it happen. just like some of the girls that left PCC to go to Hazard. I knew one was going to go to Hazard, when she was in the 7th grade, but she played her 8th grade year at PCC. some of the other ones I knew they was going to quit playing basketball, but I didn't think one of them would went to Hazard. because who her brother is.
back the Paige, 4 or 5 days after I find out about it. way was everyone at the Flea Market was talking about it.

First, let me say to everyone that this is my last post on this nonsense.
So, let me get this straight...
You knew that someone from New York was going to come to Perry two or three weeks before he got here. Then, four of five days later, everyone at the flea market was talking about it. By now, since this NY player is the talk of the Flea Market, I guess Perry Central administration are feeling the heat that their big recruit is coming and they don't want anyone to know about it. So they pull a swerve and send him to "one of them Prep school in VA or West VA" (that's according to your earlier post) but he gets kicked out there and they call over to find out if he can play at Perry for this year (the place where you and everyone and the flea market knew he was going all along). And the rest is history.

Listen, I'll let my boy CJ get his replies in since we were having a nice spirited discussion and I want to let him respond or get his final jab in, but let's get this one on topic.
If you want to talk about Jaysean Paige I'm sure there's a thread on Topix about him.
Now... Perry has two big guys that are eligible via court injunction.

Paige came from NY to play for Hatchers son in Logan. They could not get him eligible in WV. Hatchers son sent him to his Dad at PCC. Hatcher, JP, and PCC knew he was coming. FACT.

For that to happen a 14th region team will have to win more than 1 game at the state tournament. Something a 14th region team hasn't done since 1986.

I'm not arguing with you guys any longer - I said they didn't know he was coming UNTIL THE DAY HE SHOWED UP
If what you say is true - then when would they have found out about the possibility of them getting a new student?
Let me tell you.
THE DAY HE SHOWED UP
I've not confirmed or denied anything anyone has said (other than blatant lies/misinformation).
No one can dispute the facts I lay before them because they are facts.
I was going to see if we could have a reasonable discussion about these new players in this thread, but I'm leaving and letting everyone pound sand without me.
Have a nice day.

I don't have a dog in the fight !!! I saw a PCC kid in the 4th quarter that kept looking at his parents in the stands and saying "I'm Done". They must have a lot of internal problems at PCC

Good. If a kid doesn't want to participate, BYE!! They are a waste of space, time, and energy... those having a problem with these two kids getting eligible, BYE...also a waste and a problem.. parents too...

Perry got a win over Sayre today and the transfers were the difference. (For those saying they have no talent)

Better hope the transfers wasn't the difference. Sayre is not a good team at all. I think they beat Bell County by 3.

I have not seen those kids play but from what I gather they are definitely not the re-emergence of Jaysean Paige. Sayre is definitely not Scott County or the top tier of that region. The bigger story which I have not seen discussed on here seems to be the rise of the 13th Region who have seen 3 of their teams handle Perry in the past few weeks. the last being South Laurel with those kids playing in that game. Any comments? Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

Lets wait and see what happens from here on. I dont have any kids in the system or at Perry Central Im just a fan. I say it turn out like the rest.

It's better than losing by 10 which was the score before they came in.

The two big boys didn't play 7 or 8 minutes in that game

So why is everyone so worried about where they are playing? Ive never seen a 1 star transfer or a small sport transfer cause problems.
If people are this mad, then they must be at least good ball players.
It honestly just sounds like sour grapes.
You all crying about your kids losing playing time or kids wanting to quit;
Please let them. Or please take them elsewhere. You would rather your kid be the reason they lose as opposed to them working harder and getting better to contribute to a winning team.
So in your eyes your boy being the star of a losing team is better then your boy being a role player on a winning team?
12-27-2016, 02:35 AM
Sayre has Bowie...a big guy who was eating them up. If you have a player on a team and can't stop them with the ones out there, then you need a new approach.... if Prince & Idris happen to be that approach so be it... today Prince proved that he can and will get the job done. Once they get in the swing of things PCC will be a good solid team. Teams will be hard up to guard the 2 inside, Dame, and Back. Back will shoot 3s all night.
For those not in the stands or never watched them, no need to reply. For those who don't want to win, pull your kids, and stay at the house...

These are the same people thats probably glad Beverly left so their kid gets more playing time. Even though its a tremendous loss for the team.

To destroy a team for two seniors for one year is crazy. Neither one is good enough to take that chance. Jmo. Yes I have watched them. They have a ways to go but do have potential
