Congrats to the Golden Eagles! Very well deserved victory and probably one of the most dominant playoff runs that the state has seen. I read somewhere that the total yardage allowed in their last 3 games combined was under 100 yards?? Awesome awesome performance.

Surely you can take Paintsville's roster and count. If so you find closer to 20 then 2. Seems to be those 20 maybe having some 2nd thoughts.

Greenup County scored the most points (8) and had the most yards (202) vs Central throughout the playoffs. No other team had more than 100 total yards.

Somewhat misleading...Comparisons like that need to be an apples to apples comparison of if Johnson Central had their starting defensive lineup in for the entire game or not...When you start defensive subbing starting in the 2nd quarter, while your opponent still has their starting lineup on the field is really not a gauge to go by...Most opponents didn't score again JC throughout the season against their starting defensive unit, rather after Matney liberally subbed.....Play the starting defensive unit then entire game and JC would have had many more shutouts , IMO.

Ashland Blazer - 6
Belfry - 21

Of the 121 points JC allowed in 15 games, 60 points were scored on JC's starting defense.
21 of those points were scored by one of the best teams in Kentucky history. The 4-Time Class 3A state champions, Belfry.

Stay classy coach! Congratulations on being the 4A state title back to This little town of PAINTSVILLE and the first STATE TITLE IN JCHS HISTORY!! That's a big deal! Finally getting over the hump and I think that's one of the biggest steps! Now I look for JC to do it again!

Covington Scott scored on a kickoff return late in the 4th qtr. with less than 3 minutes in the game. With all Frosh/JV on the field for JC.

Greenup County scored on a long passing play against JC's Frosh/JV.
The score was 48-8. JC already had a running clock and there was less than 6:30 to play in the game on a running clock.
