Johnson Central 2016
Eagle84 Wrote:Man I am not sure where to start?

First, please see a psychologist and get medicated.

Second, the HOF has problems but how does that related to state runner up.

Last a team can only play the teams in front of them. They have no control over the schedule. You say JC was a weaker team than teams in the post. ( I guess you walked up hill both way to school.) How do you measure that? With that position, you are saying that we need to eliminate the BELFRY'S STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS( or anyone else) the years they lost to JC or anyone else correct?

Grow up either support JC or more on. JC would love to have your support but if you can't do that fine, but we do not need the consistence back stabbing from you that we have been getting.

Your missing my point! My point is giving a Runner-Up ring is not what Championship Football programs do! What difference does it make what round of the Playoffs a team losses to the State Champ in? Lots of JC teams have played the eventual State Champ and lost. Your point about Belfry is makes very little sense! Belfry and JC have not played in the same Class in a long time! Have you not read some of the post by fans of other schools cracking Jokes about JC's Runner-Up rings? Maybe a HHS fan show me a picture of a HHS State Runner-Up ring? The words "Rings" over the years has became synonymous with the word "Championship"! A example would be when debating about great basketball players it's often brought up that MJ has 6 'Rings" and Larry Bird has 3 "Rings"! Giving a "Ring" for a Runner-up finish devalues what winning a Championship is all about! I don't need a psychologist or Medication but thanks for the advice!

Sounds like you have some deep hatred for JC.

You say JC had an easier path than in years past, I'm not going to agree or disagree. Say what you will, but no other JC team has made it that far as the 2015 team. This discussion comes up every year, but you are leaving out that no team in history has ever had to go back and play a team from a previous season. You have to play the teams of this season... not years past or future teams.

It's spelled Champions.

As for the Hall of Fame, I have nothing to do with that. I'm not on the selection committee. It sounds like the person that you are talking about is a family member or close friend. I can't help you get there, sorry.
Who is the person you are talking about? Aimee Cantrell won the girls individual state golf championship in 1991 and Bobby Vanhoose won a 103 lbs. state wrestling championship 1992. Both were in the first HOF class at JC.... as a matter of fact both had their own display case right outside the gym by the main entrance for years. I think that case is still there.

I also had no say or decision making in getting Rings for last years team. The football boosters bought the rings, not the school. The school has bought rings for state champions in wrestling, track & field and cheerleading

Food-Stamp Republicans????

Of the ten seasons (2006-2015) JC had Highlands & Cov. Cath in their playoff bracket, here is a list of the years that JC got beat out & one of those teams went on to win the state title.

2006 - Cov. Cath
2008 - Highlands
2009 - Highlands
2010 - Highlands
2011 - Highlands

Billy Mullins was first team all state athlete at JCHS in the late 80's. He helped rebuild the Magoffin Co Football program into a district champ! The fact that he coaches at Magoffin Co IMO is why he has been forgotten by the JC HOF voters! Billy was part of the rebuild after the tornado that destroyed Magoffin Co football! David King is also another forgotten JC All-State athlete who served 2 tours of duty in the Middle east he reached the rank of Colonel! He fought for our freedom! Call me crazy but IMO All-state guys who grow up and serve their community should be the first ones into a HOF. Nepotism and politics have always been a problem at JC!

Wow!!!

I can't take credit for the term "Food Stamp Republican" Bob. I got that from a former JCHS football player and Johnson Co. Jailer the late great Frankie Griffith.

Thank you for Clarifying who paid for the rings. Congrats to all the JCHS State Champions who earned their ring! I apologize for the poor spelling. I also like to thank you for reading my post in its contest. I don't hate nobody or anything. Food Stamp Republican : (Noun) a person who votes Republican but lives like a Democrat
Don Carlo Wrote:I'm glad you were a Johnson Central fan maybe now you and your boyfriend with the Paintsville Herald will stop sneaking into the the games on Friday night and acting like your fans of our school. As far as I'm concerned both of your ignorant asses aren't welcome anymore. So don't even try to show up to offer your expert analysis of life at Johnson Central in the late 80's early 90's. True Johnson Central fans could care less about what you think anyway. We care about our current and former kids who put their heart and soul into our school not some disgruntled keyboard warrior who can't close his yearbook. Be sure to pass this on to your good buddy Tim also.

Let me make something clear to you MR Don Carlo I have never set foot at a JC game that I didn't have a bought and paid for pass/ticket in my pocket! I do not apologize for my opinion! Don't worry I've been to my last JCHS football game! Unlike you I have not called anyone names or threatened nobody! If anybody is being a keyboard warrior it be you! Next time you see me in person be sure to have your insults ready then. I have no idea who you are and could care less! As far as Tim goes he has nothing to do with what I post on here! Like it or not the JCHS HOF voters passing on former ALL-STATE athletes who have been outstanding members of their community is laughable. Many former teachers also agree! Your "We Care" statement says to me that you are either a teacher or coach. A coach or teacher getting on a website like this and getting upset at a critical post is pitiful! Websites like this are for the fans to talk trash or voice there opinions. I have the right and freedom to voice my opinions on here the same as anybody else!
I'm pumped for this season....

We are coming off our first ever state finals appearance.
We have the hardest schedule in school history.
We have six regular home games.
Our Junior & Freshman classes both won the middle school state championships in both 7th and 8th grade.
If we take care of business in the district, we will be home for all four rounds of the playoffs.

We will never know.... because the teams you mentioned didn't make it that far.

Using your logic, JC can claim that in 2006, 2008 and 2010 we were the 2nd best team in the state even though we didn't make it to the state finals those years.

And by the way...... I'm all out of Troll Food.

Hopefully Central can make it back to Bowling Green. Glad to see a better schedule early in the season. Don't think we lost a lot on defense but hope we work on D. Some games the defense looked confused. QB spot could be interesting. Think we could see (3) different starters before end of season.
People need to remember Road goes through Central this season before Bowling Green. Think we can win district hands down.

In you delusional thinking than a person who finishes 2nd in the Olympics should be disappointed and not take their silver metals. In addition the Bird / MJ example for forget they get paid to win.

The HOF does need to be addressed but not in this page or in this way.

What drugs are you taking pecker? Correct me if I am wrong but didn't JC play in the finals. I believe runner by definition means 2nd? I guess not one had told you the old " if and buts were candy and nuts we all have a Marry Christmas."

With a name like pecker I would watch out using other sexual adjectives.

I believe JC wins each district game by atleast 4 TD's. Biggest threat is Greenup and still I see JC winning that game 49-6. Ashland will maybe play them close for a couple drives then that's it. I see JC winning the State Title this year.
Any pictures of these controversial runner up rings?

We're not talking about medals. Go to EBay and type in Runner-Up ring and see what pops up. Nobody is saying the 2015 JCHS team shouldn't have received something to honor their accomplishments! A trophy or a plaque or even a nice Jacket would have been suitable. IMO and many people agree with me the awarding of a ring should have been saved for the First JC team that won a State Championship. I may seem Delusional to you but lots of folks agree with me. I have no problem with the awarding of a Regional Championship ring because it marks a Championship won!
When it comes down to it the booster club chose to reward the players with a state finalist ring. The money was earned by the club members and the decision to spend the money for the rings was their decision. My paycheck is earned by me and it is my decision how it is spent, not someone else's decision. It appears that the opposition is from opposing team supporters and one JC fan. I did not work as a booster club member and I should have ZERO input into their finances. Maybe others should realize that the have ZERO input also. Congrats Eagles and good luck this season. This JCHS Eagle fan supports you, honest.

You just showed just how little you do know...... JC had already won a regional championship in 2006 vs. Rockcastle County. The win vs. Scott was their 2nd regional championship.

Now to put an end of this conversation with you...... each football class has 2 Semi-State games. So by using your logic, JC did win a championship.... they won their Semi-State game against Wayne County. And yes, they were awarded a KHSAA Semi-State trophy.
IMO, a 'State Finalist' Ring means more than a 'Semi-State Championship' Ring does. Being State Finalist means you were one of the last two standing.

Good point, I follow your logic. It's easy to forget about the Semi-Final game.
Tonight's scrimmage went very good... we didn't see nothing more than very basic offensive an defensive sets, but it was nice to see some live football action.

I will say we are a very LARGE team. Probably the largest player by player team I can ever remember seeing at JC. IMO, our overall team speed is noticeably improved.

Its on the 13th unless Cabell Midland wants to break the WVSSAC rule that a WV school can't scrimmage against another team before Saturday, 8/13 at 12:01am

I imagine that Tyler will be taking care of Kentucky's kick-off duties. Great to see another local kid in the blue and white. Good Luck Tyler
After watching JC last night in their Black and Gold game they seem too have a lot of speed. I was hearing in the stands this maybe one of the fastest teams JC had ever had.

Johnson Central has a better chance at winning the state championship this year. South Warren lost a lot to graduation. Next year they move to 5A. 4A will be wide open.
South warren just reloaded 4 new players and a undefeated JV and Freshman they will be ok still have 4-5 D- 1 players and they will be very fast !

So glad to see this young man at the next level.... Very curious about how much JC REALLY did to promote this young man with UK?

I know for a FACT that hundreds of calls and emails have taken place because I've seen it for Tyler and others in the program. But in the grand scheme of things, probably nowhere close to the effort your blue faithful has done in recruiting our players and getting away with it.
