Fairview has had 4 players out in both games so far . We get 2 of the 4 back this Friday . We get a 3rd year starting LB/DL back ,& a starting OL/DL back so hopefully that getting those 2 back will shore up some . BTW neither of the those 2 played in the scrimmage at Boyd Co as well as the 1st 2 games as stated already. The other 2 that will still be out is a 2nd yr starting TE/DE/LB he isn't expected back for about 2 or 3 more weeks . The other one may be a season loss & he is a DB/WR who is extremely fast ,& very talented very comparable to Antwaan Washington except a little taller. The only one of these who has played in anything was Elswick our TE/DE/LB he played a little in the scrimmage at Boyd. It would be nice to get all 4 back that would be a huge help especially on D

DAWGS by 2 TD's.

I like LC in this one because of depth. I think LC gets back to basics this week and out physicals Fairview.

For the dawgs wellman out (broke ankle) simkins out , hall out (shoulder) keesee doubtful (ankle), mosely , probably (hip).
Look for the freshman fullback to get some touches, and chaffins and richarderson to carry the load for the dawgs running game.

Until district play, these are all scrimmage games. Rest your starters and explore the depth chart. You want to be at full strength come district time. Wins or losses do not matter until district play. All that matters is if you are getting better as a team.

Got to see the film of the Fairview games against Hazard and Bath county on Hudl tonight. A lot of holes in that defense to be exploited if a good enough offense comes along. Hazard had a lot of pass yards on the Fairview defense and plenty of holes for the run game, but they just didn't exploit em. I think Fairview has been lucky to this point but this Bulldog offense will be the best they have seen to this point. A lot of wide open receivers in the Fairview secondary but Hazard nor Bath have any receivers the caliber that we have IMO. I also think Fairview is the best offense we have seen to this point and everything looks like this could be a shootout if neither defense stiffens up a little.

the only weakness i see for lc in this game is their secondary. lc offense way to much for eagles defense. as usual turnovers and penalty's play a big part. the secondary has to defend the pass better.

It's a good thing the Eagles don't have a passing game.

Fairview has a very good QB and some pretty good athletes to throw at. The passing game is their strong point. If they can't establish a run game the Bulldogs will pin their ears back and blitz all night long. I have also noticed that the Washington kid scores the bulk of Fairviews points, if you slow him down you slow down a lot of what Fairview does.

Jt hall out needs surgery on the shoulder, I am pretty sure we will see dalton and chaffins at the corners, richardson and keesee at safety, they will have a linebacker keying on washington all night.

Last year our corners played so far off their wr's they just threw bubble screens and slants all night. With the speed and height of our secondary I think they should consider playing some bump and run. Washington is their biggest threat and although he is fast he is also short and I think it would be easier to cover him deep than it would be to play 15 yards off him at the LOS and let him catch quick passes and turn up field as your trying to come up to cover. Blitz all you want but if you don't get up in their faces on the line they will simply dump it off with quick passes and bubble screens so blitzes will not be that effective. If LC plays back and gives Fairview wr's a big cushion at the line then they will get get picked apart with the little dink and dunk passes all night. I am sure the coaches know this but Fairview done that to us last year too and no adjustments were made at halftime and they continued to sustain long drives on us with the short passing game.

Agree with you last year they completed one long pass over 20 yards they were very affective with the bubble screen to to washington coming out of the backfield. They tried another one but dalton got the int. In the endzone.

Lawrence with the win just because their playing at home
#52
So is Robert Dalton still with the team and if so does he get to play in this game or the Powell game?

Im not sure you actually watched the Hazard game. Fairview D was a NIGHTMARE for Hazards Qb

Yes I did watch the film on Hudl. Yes your defense did have it's moments on a very young and down team, but if you have a way to watch it then go look and take off your red and black goggles. Hazard beat you quite a few times with the deep pass and I counted about 10 times where your secondary was lost and hazard had wide open receivers but the QB just didn't have time to throw. I also seen a lot of holes open up in your defensive line but the Hazard runner just couldn't find it or get to it but Bath County sure did. I can promise you that this Bulldog offense is way better then Bath County's. We have a huge and experienced O line that can move some bodies and they will dwarf the small Fairview D line. We will get our run yards in this game and if we get the pass game going also then look out.

Lol yes Fairview has holes in their defense after they take a four score lead. You sir are correct.

Scrimmage game. LC testing the depth this week and next week.

Lawrence 35 to 21

I'm not sure about this one, Dawgs have twice the depth. Eagles have twice the coach. Coach Cecil doesn't need to watch game film, he does what he does and his athletes usually get him through. Off Lawrence County comes out with a plan after watching game film and actually uses this plan they should win, but they rarely use their plan. Their coaching borders redundancy and it pains me to see so much talent wasted on a coach who can't or just won't use it effectively.

Fairview will win this one with ease. Who's next for Lawrence? East Carter or Rose Hill?

dawgs win by 2+ tds tonight.
