2015 Class A Pre-Season Top 10
Objective Wrote:Like seeing Pineville name mentioned in here a few time I'm looking forward to them having a good season and a run in the playoffs my dark horse for the year.....

Anyone else High on the Mountain Lions this year ? EKUalum?

Pineville has good tradition. I can remember when they were in the thick of things back in the late 80's for sure. Bell Co. and Middlesboro have been on the upswing for quiet a few years, and It could be that Pineville fell on hard times athletically. They were always a tough out in single A back in those days. Pineville always played very hard to the last whistle. Here's hoping the Mountain Lions will come back to prominence one day soon.

Pineville only lost one senior last year. Over all pineville won the games they was supposed to...no shame to losing to Williamsburg, middlesboro, hazard,Harlan,Claiborne tn and Campbellsville..5-6 record was not a bad season in my booked. I look for a lot of barn burner games in this district that could go either way. And yes including Williamsburg game. Never know this could be pineville BREAKOUT YEAR. Confusederiously:

This is a junior dominate team right? They could be very dangerous this year and next.
Im really interested in how things shake out. Teams moving up in class, Eastern Teams taken out to the west bracket, opens the door for a team like Pineville to get over looked a bit and suprise someone in the play offs ala Paintsville 2014.
It probably shakes out with Beechwood facing Raceland at WKU.

not likely.
1 beechwood
2 russelville
3 raceland
4 pikeville
5 frankfort
6 fairview
7 paintsville
8 hazard
9 williamsburg
10 holy cross
3 of those teams in 1 district...raceland, fairview, paintsville...best district in state in 1a

The king of 1A has spoken mysonis55. Now he his 100% guessing now. Confusedecret:
Just keep this thread in mind. At the end of the year, tell me how wrong I was.
Im telling you you're wrong now lol
Well at least someone is willing to point it out.

I do think you could be right on Beechwood.
Raceland vs Beechwood in Bowling Green.

Pj went down on a jet plane in Northeastern Kentucky 2 weeks earlier !! ! ! :flame:TongueirateSho:ChairHit:

Jetpilot will do a brief fly by Ram Land on his way to Bowling Green. You'll likely listen to the Panthers playing in Bowling Green on the radio from the comfort of your home.
One thing is for sure, you nor I will have a hand in it one way or the other. Time will tell. I only hope that all teams play competitive and have injury free seasons.

The heart and skills of the young men on the field will determine who goes to Bowling Green, not Old Has Beens like me and you trying to live vicariously through our kids.

Good luck unless you make it to RAMLAND!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! !
I really hope to see Hazard with no injuries during there playoff run. I also hope others are healthy as well. I just wish the season would get here. It's like my coal job right now.. Waiting game...

just a little friendly trash talk from me Smile. actually I think there is a lot of parity and any one of several differen't schools including Hazard,Williamsburg,Raceland,Paintsville,Pikeville could represent the East.

I agree and as it stands right now i think Pikeville and Raceland may be closer to Beechwoods level than any of us think. Ive seen both teams recently, and alot can change in shorts, but both squads look bigger and faster than last year.

I really don't think Beechwood is that much better than the rest. I will give them there props at being a odds on favorite but they are not going to be head and shoulders better than the rest. Beechwood will have a whole new line and a couple players who may not play. So a lot of factors plays in.
What does Russellville and Frankfort return? Those two are all i can see in the west with any chance at all of knocking off BW.
Still interested to hear what Russellville and Frankfort return. But im also hearing that Beechwood alhas agreed to terms with Ironton, OH for the weekend of Sept 11. If it happens, i know where i will be spending that Friday night. Should be a very good ball game and a very electric atmosphere.
Russellville has some kids who put up some decent numbers running the ball. Frankfort will have the athletes but line play will be there key.

Campbellsville is my sleeper team and return a lot if not everyone.

Hazard is my sleeper team.they could finish ahead of Raceland and Paintsville.

They have to get past Williamsburg and Pikeville which ain't happening!

What makes them a sleeper?

What makes you think they can't?? Now Pikeville will be a tough task. Williamsburg is rebuilding and I think they are a step behind hazard and Pikeville. But not saying they couldn't beat either just saying they are a work in progress.

Because they couldn't handle Pikeville with Jones and Morgan. Also, Hazard has to play some defense. The last 2 years Pikeville went up and down the field with little resistance. And they will probably have more good skill players this year than they have had in a while... Looking forward to the district battles between Pikeville and Hazard, should be very entertaining.
