Williamsburg only undefeated

You've just solidified the problem with these rankings with your statement. They mean absolutely nothing and are even worth less. There will be teams listed high in these ratings that wont even make it out of their own districts let alone win a region. Anybody that actually pays attention to these ratings and bases opinions of teams from them may have more apple butter for brains than the cantrell or lit ratings.

I saw Bobby Keith get tossed out of game out Whithley Co, I was about 13 at the time...He was very intimidating and scared the crap out of me as he stormed by on the way to the locker room...Bobby and Clay have my respect...

I agree, but I also think anyone that thinks Williamsburg should be ranked higher simply because they have not lost a game is crazy. That is one place that playing a week schedule absolutely hurts Williamsburg. They have not earned the right to be ranked higher because they haven't proven they deserve it. Same reason they were not ranked higher during football season. By the time they finally were able to show they could play, the season was over and they were crowned the first place loser. I will give Williamsburg full credit for single A play (even though they took the right to claim single A status out with all transfers), but to say they were ranked 1 out of all the other area teams was stupid. Corbin and North Laurel would have beaten them. These local newspaper sports guys blow more smoke than a volcano.

The local Corbin sports guys are a joke. They rarely attend Corbin basketball and football games. They should change the paper's name from The Corbin Times Tribune to The Anybody But Corbin Times Tribune.

Back on topic, Williamsburg is an easy team to root for. Good coach and likable players. All 4 teams in the 50th district are evenly matched. Any team can win it and any team can be eliminated in the first round. 2 good teams won't even make it to the region.

When Clay County was 10-0 undefeated and had only beaten 2 team with a winning record Flash154 where was you. Waiting on Williamsburg to lose come on man get on the bandwagon. Flash154 ask Mayfield fan they will disagree with you.

What do you want me to ask Mayfield? Did Williamsburg play a weak schedule? Did Williamsburg have transfers that were their best players. That Williamsburg lost to Mayfield resulting I them being first place in the loser bracket? I don't understand why you people are so sensitive about the facts. Clay County's schedule made their undefeated status have merit. Williamsburg has a much better team than they usually do, but until they prove themselves to the powers that rank, quit crying because they are not ranked higher. As you are entitled, you can rank on emotion, but as for me, I will refrain from doing so and will call it like I see it.

To say Corbin and North Laurel would have beaten them is stupid. North beat South by 6. Wburg put a running clock on them. Mayfield beat Graves Co. by 21 and Pulaski beat them by 7. Pulaski beat Corbin badly.

Flash Light Wburgs best players were IMO Skyler Griffith, Corey Shelton, Chris Helton and Chase Lowrie were not tranfers...If your calling like you see it you must be blind....

Back to basketball...........

Williamsburg is a very good team. Regardless of who you play you still have to put the ball in the hole and they have done that with ease.

In the last win over Bell County they showed that they can also play defense. I don't care if you like them or not, that is immaterial, Williamsburg is good, and I think going to get better. Of course everyone else will get better too, but right now the fact is the Jackets have earned their record, beating Corbin, South, and Barbourville for their quality wins.

My advice sit back and enjoy this season not only from Williamsburg but all the teams in the 50th district it is going to be a dog fight and the 13th region, lots of good teams and players.

Wow, bet Top Notch really appreciates that. I know there were two that was Whitley then Corbin then finally ended up at Williamsburg. Did you forget Massey? I believe you had a couple from Corbin out there also. I believe one of those on your list came from McCreary. Top Notch should be able to verify that. I know Williamsburg can't help if all these people bring their kids to the school. I am just sick to death of hearing them cry and/or brag about Williamsburg being such a small school. If they would just play and stop using the small school crap, I really wouldn't have a problem with them. I don't think I ever read where Beechwood, Elliott Co., Mayfield, or any other 1A school that won a state championship cry because they felt they shouldn't have to play bigger schools. You also shouldn't brag because you are a small school that accomplished something, especially when you are not playing with the students that are truly from Williamsburg. I have always felt sorry for the players that had spots taken by a transfer--none more than the Hamblin kid that Sizemore took his quarterback spot.

That was just a big bunch of a mess of an argument that really makes no sense.

I didn't say they are not a good team. They are much better than usual. I am saying based on their schedule, they haven't justified being ranked higher. I'm sorry, but beating South, Corbin, and Barbourvile does not prove anything. All of these teams are about the same caliber and any of these teams could beat the other on any given night. Just because Williamsburg is undefeated doesn't mean a darn thing considering who they have played.

Seems to me I feel the same way about Williamsburg as you do Corbin. Why does my opinion bother you so much? You seem to be a Whitley fan. I have not said other schools don't have transfers. Those other schools don't yell small school excuses. Maybe your doctor can help you not worry so much about my not liking Williamsburg. It is my opinion. If you can say you have never posted a negative opinion about a team on here, then go ahead and hate on me. Otherwise, state your opinions about teams and stop giving me advice.

I can say there is not one transfer's name hanging on the walls of my school as a record holder in any sport. There is not one transfer that ever came to my school and took the playing time of another player already there that had played his or her heart out only to be replaced. I am perfectly aware of why you want to know my school, so I will keep that to myself. It's irrelevant.

Sounds to me that a transfer took all of FLash154's Playing time in High school. :lame:

I think that's enough on this thread as nobody can seem to stay on topic.
