I don't care what bothers you. I posted that Central and Belfry is playing and Corbin isn't. If Belfry can emulate Corbin's offensive gameplan they can beat Central, because they will smart enough to get after the QB. My Redhounds probably enjoyed this year more than your Black Bears, but definitely not as much as the winner of Central/Bell will. I love how quick you move on Demarcus. Your Black Bears season was a disaster, but you make sure to jump on the Belfry train come post-season and ride it to state. If you're going to be like 64 and these band wagon jumpers you could at least do it before the season... You're a joke just like that Harlan County program.

Evidently Corbin's lack of success has you to the point of trying to deflect the negative attention to other places. The Harlan County Black Bear program is not a joke. Even though my last family member graduates this year, I will be back to support that team in any and all games they play. After Harlan County is finished playing, I like to support what mountain teams are left.....all the way to state. I also have an emotional investment in Dixie Heights this year, so I'll be there to watch them play as well.
Just because Corbin finally had a year that wasn't embarrassing doesn't mean that you have to talk negatively about other teams. After all, it's the kids you are talking about, after everything is said and done.
Oh, and this isn't a Corbin or Harlan County thread, either.

You're pathetic just like the Coaching Staff at Harlan County. I don't keep up with basketball and my football season isn't over yet. You're punk and your football IQ is on par with the rest of the Harlan County coaching staff.

I didn't have a problem with Harlan County until Harlan county started on these forums. I have no beef with you granny because you are always classy. But, I didn't deflect anything on Harlan, it was your boy from Harlan running his mouth about Corbin. I wasn't negative about the kids, I mentioned the shortcomings of the staff and the decline of the program in result of that.
Just because Harlan has started a decline doesn't mean that Harlan fans have to talk negatively about other teams. I know it's easy to attack when still grieving, and I understand Demarcus doesn't speak for everyone, but you better believe when someone calls out my program I will speak facts.

I don't think anybody is still grieving, let alone Demarcus! AND anyone can speak on these forums, no matter where they are from. You absolutely WERE putting Harlan County and the Black Bears down...big time. If you have a problem with Demarcus, call HIM out. Leave the team and their problems out of it.

There probably IS a reason you haven't heard of them. And if you haven't heard of them, then how can you judge their coaching with any credibility?

Wouldn't surprise me if you were one of HC's assistants. It would make sense that you were responsible for all of their shortcomings...

Central is not adept at driving the field and moving the chains, but instead they struggle to sustain drives and live off big plays to put points on the board.
Is ^^^ a fair assessment of them offensively?

I think after 34 years and 300 wins, Tom Larkey doesn't have to rely on anybody. There is nothing about him that is a joke. They had a down year, it happens, and understand you're talking about a team that had big wins last year against Bell, Whitley, Letcher, Knox Central, Madison Central, and almost pulled out a win against Madison Southern in the playoffs, but unfortunately Damien Harris showed up that day for 350 on the ground.

You tell me to move on, but you can't help yourself and keep trying to bring it up. I gave my prediction for this game and was leaving it at that. I don't care who you cheer for or laugh at, because I'm laughing at you. You're a joke. You're a joke. You're a joke.

Not sure if you read my post correctly. Every coach relies on there assistants. I was saying the assistants were more to blame than the head coach as I have always considered Larkey a top notch head coach.

I am not sure..outside of the Corbin game Central hasn't really looked the best offensively.
Last week they had 6 total First Downs against South Warren and their points came from a fumble recovery, a big play for a TD, and another isolated big play to set up a FG.
Corbin made their passing game look All-World that 2nd Half, but I am not sold on Corbin defensively as it is. They gave up a lot of yards and points when they played their best competition all year.
What you get with Central is "Danger" and "Impact".
DANGER:
The thing you have to always respect with Central is on any play a 3 yard gain can turn into a 53 yard gain. Beason isn't a big back, but he runs hard and if he gets to the 2nd Level he is gone. Norfleet isn't on anyone's list of the top QB's in the State... but he has a big arm and is a gamer. The second you get lulled into thinking he is rattled or his accuracy is off BOOM perfectly thrown fly route for 6. The supporting players are "no name" players. There are no TayShaun Gibbs, no Stephon Robinson's.... but they are interchangeable and have the speed and athleticism to turn any broken coverage or blown assignment into a long score.
IMPACT:
This isn't your typical Central team who can line up in a Single Back or I-Formation and pound you to death until they run the stretch. This isn't even the Central team who will run the read option and neutralize you with the mid range passing game. This is the team who thrives off the big play on offense. I don't see a defense that stonewalls their opponent at the LOS, I don't see LB's who cover sideline to sideline making every play a gain of less than 4 yards... but when they need to dial up a QB Pressure or they need a key turnover they find it.
Central is the master of the Impact play that turns momentum 180 degrees. When you think you have them put away they get the big score to get back in the game. When you think you have them behind the chains suddenly they pop a 20 yard gain. When you think you are about to put a nail in the coffin they find a strip or TFL. Their special teams are special and every turnover is an opportunity to take it to the house.
I cannot urge how important it is for Belfry to set their tempo and limit self inflicted wounds. That fumbled pitch you get the good bounce on will bounce Central's way. That holding call behind the play may negate your only long run of the game. That False Start on 2nd and 6 will cause you to come 1 yard short when you go for it on 4th and 2 at the 35.
When I have seen Central in the past I saw some players who were the best Belfry had seen all year. I saw backs who were the fastest they had seen. I saw QB's who were more more lethal. I don't see that anywhere on the Central roster this time. With that said, this Central team is in my opinion a more complete team than some of the squads Belfry has seen before.

Belfry wins, 21-14 ,Go Pirates

Central again.
12-02-2014, 02:06 AM
I hope belfry can control the tempo of this game, but even that will not put central away. Central has a "sense of urgency" better than anyone I've seen this year. They have the ability to change the aspect of a game at any point, no matter if it's defensively or offensively. They've also had a lot of luck, and having luck and catching breaks will go along way in a championship game.

Corbin and Harlan County both suck.
The two of you could team up to create a suckpar team.
When we start getting some of our players back from Wburg Whitley will dominate you knuckleheads.
