Hey I'm just having fun too Scotty. You guys must have the best strength coach in the country if the roster has gained 10-20 lbs of muscle in the offseason :please:

Patterson last year backup QB for Williamsburg or
Skyler Griffith ( Dual QB ) If he plays receiver this year could break state record. Or
Fred Massey ( Dual QB ) or could be a 1700 to 1800 yard rusher.( not kidding maybe more )

Glad I'm not the coach. Confusederiously:

If that Young guy from Raceland who completed 4 passes last year and ran for 15 yards was there you wouldn't have a problem. Those guys would never take a snap.Confusedinglepar

I think Raceland QB has more yards passing than all 3 of Williamsburg QB. But hey I'm a homer also. Confusednicker:

I will be 100% honest. Last year, I was thinking that 2014 Raceland, wouldbe a transition year. Then Maynard left and I thought it could turn into a rebuilding year. But after seeing the EKU down and dirty lineman camp videos and seeing the skill guys at 7 on 7, I'm in shock. I guess this is a team of "late bloomers". There are several who were a good 1-3 iches shorter than me (im almost 6'2") towards the end of last season and now stand as tall or taller than I am now. I know young put on alot of muscle, as did Messer, Snyder, and Walker. isaac Wallace looks to have slimmed down, probably about 285(down from 300 at the end of last season) and he is a step faster. (keep in mind he is the yougest boy in his class and should actually be a Freshman this year, not a soph). And this is the hardest working team I have ever been around. They all seem to live in the gym, on the track, or out on the field. I have full confidense in this teams ability. Will it be enough? Time will tell, but I think people will be suprised at what Raceland is able to do this year. Their strength and conditioning have already impressed me. I know alot of yo think Im a homer, but I get alot of crap for being honest about Raceland. I got called a prick for stating that 06 and 08 Raceland would have dominated our regional chsmpionship team. Got blasted over stating that our RBs played soft against Williamsburg. I still think Pikeville is going to win the east and Williamsburg will flop. I hope im wrong and Raceland wins the district, region, semis, and state titles. They are capable of the first 2 a good shot at 3. I think the winner will get blasted by the west rep, but we shall see! All of these things will become realities in a few months and I for one cant wait.

Who will Williamsburg flop to. Thiss is the year you even said last year this would be Williamsburg year 2014 and now you are saying Williamsburg will flop. I think if Williamsburg can get this QB problem solve..Williamsburg could be the last team to beat Mayfield in 1A......:truestory:

I didnt expect Raceland to have what they they do coming back(didnt expect kids to grow and mature like they have), didnt expect Pikeville to pick up a few key missing pieces. Didnt expect Hazard to have the line play returning like they do. Wburg will be a bit better with the addition of Massey and a few lineman. The other fontenders will be ALOT better. Goina be a fun playoff year!
#37
Scotty they did the same thing at Williamsburg. We should be better than last year even if they didn't improve physically, we did lift all winter we did grow all winter We did have one of the best backs in the state transfer in to replace the only starter we lost. Raceland may get another shot at us, if Raceland does get that far don't be surprised, if you all don't run into a much better team than the one you lost to in Williamsburg last year. just thinking
#38
U r right topnotch thats why they play the games. I know all teams work hard all off season, im just shocked at how much better raceland looks right now. Regaurdless, its safe to say theres goina be alot of passing yards gobbled up in the east this year. Hazard Wburg Raceland and Pikeville should all be better prepared to face the west come the first week of December. I just hope and pray one of us brings a title back to the east. More speed across the board in the east. Goina be a fun year!

there is no isiah king on Fairview roster. not sure why? can someone explain why you would put him on watch list when he is a no show?
thanks
#40
I wasnt aware of King no longer residing within "The Wood". I still get a chuckle at how they could call it that. I wonder how Beechwood would feel about playing there?lol If they have lost King, sounds like there's a major loss of speed on the outside. If anyone csn give us an explanation , im sure we'd appreciate it.
#41
because the school is located in WESTWOOD KY. not hard to figure out. beechwood is a school not a town. when people say in the wood it means their in westwood. would beechwood people say that they are in the school, when they are in ft. Mitchell. I doubt it:welcome:

I know why they say it. But if the school name is your argument, why isnt it "The View". They arent the westwood eagles. I was just making a joke. BITW, was started by the football program. Not the town. I just felt that the statement was always a little odd. Simply bc of what Beechwood has done historically. I say call it "The View" and let Barbara Walters and Star Jones could call the games! Just jabbin. All in fun here. Wish the boys in Fairview-Westwood all the best. All except the night of the season, of which I do not have to speek of. Im sure it will be another packed house and great atmosphere.
#43
wrong again. BITW was started in 2009 when the basketball team won the single A. or ALL A classic, not by the football team. they posted signs all the way to Richmond for the games. just stick to what ya know. and its not the history of THE WOOD:thanks:

I will concede in defeat when i am wrong. Id never heard it until after yalls trip to Bowling Green. My mistake. Enjoy ur thrown, but you wont catch be at ur feet any time soon. Any more news on King? What about Brown?

Fred ran for over 1,000 yards against a 5A schedule last year. I have no doubt he could gain 3,000 yards against the competition Williamsburg plays if the coaching staff wanted to give him the ball 15-20 times a game.

king is on house arrest was involved in robbery on june 17th in Ashland. k brown also in custody. kurt had enrolled at Ashland tho was set to play for tomcats. I must say these young men have some tough days ahead of them, but I ask all to keep them in your prayers, god can fix this if they turn to him. also innocent till proven guilty. but king is no longer an eagle. best of luck to him and his family

I agree ...... Williamsburg like the passing game. I can see Massey playing a lot at receiver. 64SUR. :Cheerlead

The King's and Brown's are in my prayers. I hate to see so much tallent and potential go down a path that doesnt allow then to utilize said tallents. Looks like Dolen(if he is still there) will be the feature back now?
#49
dolen is at coal grove
#50
Ashland police dept facebook page press release will tell you more about it. this has come to a surprise to us in the wood
#51
Wow. Suprised Dolen would leave, with the guys gone. I know he was originally from there. But he would have gotten a bulk of the carries. Who looks to be the main players now? Having a good QB doesnt do much if he doesnt have neone to throw to. Who will be the skill guys now?

Men Feds Creek is not that bad of a place.

Not at all. It's a good place.
#54
I hate that Fairview's season will start with some sort of issue. As much distain as Raceland and Fairview may hold for one another, I hate to hear of an issue like this. Hopefully, this is the last circumstance like this. Does anyone know who the key players will be now? Roy will obviously be a focal point, not just in the passing gsme, but in the running game, now that Dolen and Brown are gone. If King is gone, thats their backfield. Who looks to be the feature back now?
#55
just wait and see fellows. coach ray will coach these boys up. we got some soon to be household names. local boys. there is plenty of talent right here in the backyard. previous coaching staff chose not to use:welcome:
