Clay County vs Jackson County (49th District Championship)
#61
General can't help but to bash me. I hope its a good game. I could really care less about district title, Clay's legacy is defined by regions.

If I didn't bash you BUBBA, you would never learn. Recently, I think you made some sense in a post. I've also noticed that you haven't been bragging so incessantly. I would like to think that I've had big part in making you a more knowledgable, yet humble part of our BGR community. I like to think of you as a work in progress. Good luck Friday BUBBA! I hope both teams play the best they've played all year!
#63
General I might let you serve as my personal mentor but you're a Jackson countian so that's a no no. Good luck to you and those Generals, may the best team win.

General Jackson Wrote:Lot of good points on the game except for BUBBA's as usual. So, from what I've gathered, this game has too many ifs to call. If so and so shows or if we play this defense or that...this is why basketball is the greatest game on earth! Study and analyze all you want and just when you think you have it...guess again. Clay definitely has the edge at home. The 1st game at Clay was called right down the line. I just hope this one is too. BUBBA, I've seen you play ball. Stick with golf.

I'll have to say General, Bubba wasn't half bad back in his day. Just happened to realize his future. But I will agree, we won't know til the ball is tipped and the clock sounds who is/was the better team. 1-1 to this point.

He wudn't half good either UKCC.Lol. I have come to a conclusion. Clay is actually in a no win situation with the district on their home court. If they win... they was suppose to win.Agreed? But, if they lose district to little Jackson at home? Now,that would be ugly.

I'm not saying little Jackson, haha. I predicted preseason they would split (all be it didn't think 16 points at Jackson). Do I think home court will play a factor? Absolutely, that's one of the reasons I have Clay winning. To me, if they lose, it wouldn't be awful, but it wouldn't be good either. Especially if they draw Knox first round. This team is the type that needs a "favorable" opponent in the first round to get going.
#67
I think either one of these teams are capable of winning the region from the losers half. But I also think it does make it a lot harder. This is not a win or go home game. But does it mean something sure. It means not getting knox in the first round. Knox is the team to beat. But I have no doubt clay will get it done when that time comes.

We neither one want that but on the other hand, Knox definitely don't want either of us first round either. This draw is gonna be crazy for somebody.

This is the first time in a few years where I think there is 3 teams that have a really good shot at winning. In 2012 and 2013 I believe it was Clay or Harlan Central's to loss.

:what: Williamsburg and Middlesboro peaking at the right time...It want be the big 3...Better call it the big 8...Just sayin...UKCC

The loser of this game will have to run the gauntlet to win region barring any upsets in the districts. Corbin, Knox, and Bell should be waiting on one of these teams. This will be one of the biggest games in the state Friday night!

Williamsburg may be a sleeper. Haha there's 3 legit teams, then maybe 2 sleepers and that's about it.
#77
I thought the 13th region boys final four this year was on Saturday. Doesn't it rotate each year?
#78
I did say one of the biggest, Perry - Hazard & Knott - Cordia will also be huge games!

I'm a Jackson fan and neely kills us, he looks lost everytime he gets on the court , he slows us down to much, we have an 8th grader on the bench that would give us better mins.

Bubba...You're letting these Jackson County guys off the hook way too easy. I think I know your reason...They are not used to being in this situation, therefore their arrogance is not well deserved, so you feel a bit sorry for them. The Generals could win the District this year. If they do they will strutt like a gaggle of Spring Gobblers and crow like a flock of crows circling a corn wagon. You and I know it will be short lived. In the meantime (win or lose) don't back off of these guys, let em have it like I know you can!

General has to defend his Generals. They are an elite program here in the mountains (LOL) and his Mt. Rushmore Golden Boy Fox (who left the program for another program) will go down as the GOAT to hoop in JC with 1 region tournament appearance. That "it" factor wasn't quite there last yr against NL in that 0-12 performance from the field. In all honesty though, JC has a nice team, and Coach Parrott may have the nicest hairdo in the mountains with that mushroom cut. Go Tigers!!!
#87
Cant say much about the haircut, just wish I had hair, But I do think CC has been, is, and will always be the Bull in the 49th and in the 13th.
CC is like pizza and women...when they are bad they are still good!
#88
You said it Count! I wish I had hair like him too. As far as the Pizza and women, I'll have to agree. Might have to pick a Little Caesars up before JC's Super Bowl tomorrow nigh. All of Tyner, Clover Bottom, Sand Gap, Annville, and McKee will be there.
