I'm glad you got with him. I probably am responsible for watching most of those games every month.

Hi 64SUR, welcome to Bowling Green!
The weather report doesn't look good. Cold and rain or cold and snow. That might slow down both teams' passing game. This game will be won on the line. Take a look at how many Senior lineman we have, and guess how many games they have started in the last few years. How many big games against 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A teams do you think they have played in? How many of those games do you think they won?
How many State Championship games in a row have these boys played? I haven't even mentioned our QB, WR, or K/P. Mayfield has no weakness.
Good luck 64; I'm ready to eat my crow IF you can serve it!

I like to consider the site my little contribution to the rich tradition of Mayfield football, I am one of its worst critics. I would love to redesign it but finding the time is another thing. The site is visited by roughly 40 states each month, and roughly 70 GB of video watched each month, so roughly 70 games each month are watched there.
I would love to have something like that for Whitley County and Williamsburg. It sounds like a time consuming venture.

It can be very time consuming, it doesn't work unless you are a true fan.

Wear it out, I know several others that watch the games, thats why I put em on there, I too get on there from time to time and watch em, especially if we are going to play a team again the next year. I always thought it would be so convenient to be able to pull up any game you ever wanted to see with just a couple of clicks and now I have it. If you have a game that I don't have on the site, I would love to get it on there.

I got all of 2009 except state and Caldwell I think. I have all of 2010. I have all of 2011 except state. I got most of 2012.

Yep, I have all that on the site, including the state games. When I get the 78 video I may have to dub in some music since its converted 8mm stuff with no audio.

Built in excuse for a throwing team. I want no injuries and good weather.

We do the butt kickin around here...lol.
She better bring garden shears like Brutus Beefcake used to pack around!
Great team no doubt about it, the best in single A. Just some arrogant posters, not all.
Hope both teams are healthy & injury free for game. Good luck to both sides!

Gargamel, we are just having fun. There is nothing we say here that will change this game.

Weather plays no role in are passing game or running game incase you all didn't know the last two games have been played in the pouring rain and it hasn't affected are passing game. Not really sure why you all keep mentioning it?

Russell was deserving of the #2 spot... they were kinda one dimensional but so were we at one time when we were #1.... so that arguement is out the window. Lol. They were very good at the run and if it wasnt for our ability to adjust at half so well the first game coulda been bad.. the second game u had to take into consideration that their big running back was pretty much out the game.. but they still held us to 17pts... very solid team.. now frankfort.. not so good.. they had us down at half cause we were beatin ourselves by droppin balls and penalities.. they were never really a threat..
We will just have to agree to disagree. Russellville was not a top 5 1A school. Just a good defense doesn't make it so.

It would be a good story for the kids to tell later on as well. I can remember every snow game I ever played in.

Only thing I have said about the weather is I wish it wouldn't happen for my own comfort. On the field at WKU it won't make as big a difference besides being uncomfortable for the players and fans.

Does turf get slicker than grass In snow or frezzin rain ... just going to assum it does.. that could be quite the show to watch if nobody can keep footing.. mayfield plays a grass field and is rare to see the astro... wb the burg.. they play on truf? Seems I thought they did.. might be a advantage..

Williamsburg plays on a grass field, you can see it on ihigh.com, just go there and type Williamsburg into the search and click on the first result that comes up. As for how weather effects turf fields:
Impact of Weather
Rain:
Weather has no affect on playability of an artificial turf surface. Turf fields are designed to drain 4” of rain per hour. The field would not be damaged by play under wet conditions.
Snow/Cold Weather:
Artificial turf can be used safely, for both the field and the athletes, in freezing temperatures because the surface does not freeze. In addition, snow can be removed from the surface without any damage.
I know in 2002 we had snow or ice on the field, but it was removed.

Tousaints, that is very true. I wish it would have happened about 3 years ago for me. I wouldn't be babysitting all the time.

We are now just 5 days away there 64. 5 days and counting down.

Mayfield has a running clock on these guys, just watched film on wb and we would have to lay a big egg and have 5 turnovers for them to be in game, the young guys get a lot of pt in this one.

I just checked the hourly forecast for Friday. It would appear that we are gonna be in the clear. The precipitation is not supposed to start until 1p. I am very excited about this. It cuts down on excuses.

The Jackets will have an uphill battle this week. Experience just means so much at this stage and the numbers can be overwhelming. I talked to the Frankfort coach and he said they just keep throwing out fresh bodies at you until you wear down. That being said, I still believe in these Jackets and know they will find a way.

Who making excuses,Mayfield fans are the only one talkin excuses. And when i say we i mean williamsburg yellow jackets football team will hand your excuses to you in person, not on BGR :kneel:

Patrick 25 out? This puts a major problem with stopping Mayfield. If he is anything like his Daddy was, he will be out there.
I'm taking the Jackets in a close one.
Williamsburg 21
Mayfield 20
