You're clearly a parent of a player. It was a bad loss for an up and coming team. M'boro is getting it back on track and have some good young talent. Just go sleep this one off or drink a couple to relax those nerves. Losses happen in this game. Football isn't for everyone. You have to be Physically and Mentally tough.

Actually I meant 5 and even changed it to 5 just typing to fast I guess. 5 touchdowns equal 30 points. Either way you say it, it was a very lopsided lose. I have no problem with you telling the kids to do better, but some of you are on here telling everyone that you are better after allowing 77 points to be put on ya. :eyeroll:

You say guys these things can happen when we lose focus and lack effort. We need to fix ( whatever was going wrong) and will come back hungry. This games over don't dwell on it. Come in Sunday ready to work. But yes to answer your question you do have to point out all the glaring mistakes that were made. They have to be learning steps or they will continue to be shortcomings.

Yes I do... Our defense was bad... But no worse than Pikevilles.. They didn't stop us neither not one time besides when mboro lost the football that Pikeville didn't even force... Mountain football is always down compared to the rest of the state. Figured you would show up in the Mboro or Bell fan to say I told ya so.

Middlesboro is not the best team in the state that is clear, they were horrible tonight, but they do have the talent and personel to make a run in 2A and lets remember 2A is all that matters in the grand scheme of things.

Pikeville had three starters out tonight due to injuries from the Belfry game. Two freshmen played in their place at the lb position. You've got to consider that as well. It's no secret, defense was lacking on both teams tonight. Pikeville had more speed, and capitalized on Mboro's mistakes.

I took exception to the constant complaints about officiating and the statements that Middlesboro would clearly beat Pikeville "8/10" times, the blaming it on the bus ride was also beautiful.

I said more than once that they are comparable teams and turnovers certainly played a role in the outcome.... but there is no denying that the excuses were thick and there is no way you can possibly claim Middlesboro is clearly a better team than Pikeville when they SCORE EVERY POSESSION, HANG 77 POINTS, and could have put up 100 if the clock wasn't constantly moving since both teams were running the ball.

That's what people are taking exception to. Noone is claiming that Pikeville simply blew Middlesboro out and would win every game by 30... but you are what you are.. and tonight you are a team who got dismantled. I think everyone simply wants to hear less excuses.. or if you insist on excuses... at least hearing that maybe the penalties were the result of a team seeing speed and a tempo they were not ready for... or that 9 fumbles had something to do with poor special teams and an opportunistic opponent... or that a 3.5 hour bus trip is taken by teams in the playoffs every year come the Regional Finals and Semi-Finals yet none of those teams are "flat" after it.
