The state and Breathitt?

Full deck Wrote:I asked a few Rockcastle fans what they thought of Larry Hammond as a Superintendent. Had a lot of mixed responses, most didn't think he was football friendly or for sports as a whole. Also said when he retired he ran for a public office and lost bad, which tells me if he was so well liked he would have won the election. A few we're very glad he was gone.

Never supported sports at Rockcastle Co. Now, that is his first attack at Breathitt.

I never saw anything from Hammond but decency when I met him or heard things about him. He treated my kids good and both played football, but, both were also scholars as well and worked to make good grades. I don't see him "attacking" the sports program up there, but, admittedly I wasn't an insider to the internal politics of Rockcastle County Schools. I DO see him squeezing the corruption hard up there and if some of that corruption is in the sports programs, it may get pinched. Good luck to them up there and I hope everything works out for the best.

Even though you left many moons ago;your dad is still a great supporter of our sports programs;and you know this is all about politics. While I respect your opinion I will still say let's not mix the football team up with the politics of running a school system(into the ground). This man is trying to destroy all sports programs there.
