It doesn't matter where we play, old field, new field, or even the field behind the jail, the bobcats will still leave Harlan with a win!

I like Harlan Co in this one 21-14

What i find hard to understand is that the Whitley/Bell game was a virtual stalemate and a late score wrapped it up for Bell.
In the WC/HC game, HC made it look like childs play and handled Whitley's line with relative ease.
And after all of that this game will most likely be a barn burner or a Bell win, if history tells us anything.
If Bell does come out and win this game, i believe it shows how poorly WC played in Harlan last friday, or vise versa with Bell in there game with WC.

One thing is for sure, mountain football is the most unpredictable part of the state to predict an outcome.

This sure has been a very quiet thread so far. I guess everyone will get things going soon.

Well here you go Amped. I went back and searched the first HC/Bell game thread, my first post!

I hate bell county, first off because they are bell county. I just hate em. They low down, they dirty, they some snitches. I hate Coach Mills, I'm not a cat person. I just hate bell county man. I hate log mountain. I hate bell county. I hate bell more then I hate tennessee. I hate their colors it's not a blue you can stand, it's like smurf poop and I don't like smurfs. They losers, they sore losers because they are not Harlan County. I hate bell county man I can't stress that enough!

Go Bears!!!

I just wish that someone would answer the question of where is this game being played, new field or Cawood? I'm driving over from London and would like to know.
#47
No one knows right now. I'm guessing they will announce Monday. Not sure what still needs to be done.
#48
I was talking to someone earlier and said I'm not putting too much into this game. I mean I've hung flags at Bell County, painted up some bell fans cars (they are friends) with HC and Black Bears. Last year I tried the old reverse psychology and hung bell signs at HC, but to no avail! So this year I thought I'm just gonna be normal, prepare for the playoffs and move on, then I realized that's how Loser talks, so it's on! And to those that say we put to much into this well that's because we think we can win! Sure in the scheme of things it means nothing but obviously Knox put s lot into the HC/Knox game this year they were still partying on the field when I left. So I'm all in and ready to see a game that admit it or not all of Eastern Kentucky puts a lot into!

Go Bears!!!!!

No disrespect to bell but the bears finally end the streak 21-14.main thing is to not get anyone hurt before the real season.good luck to both teams.
#51
Bell is looking scary right now. Three straight shut outs too.

I just don't think Harlan County is gonna be able to handle Jonathon Polly. He's the one that put the knife in them last year. I think HC defense last year was much tougher than the one this year, and I'm looking for Polly to get the ball more than 8 times this time around. Also they'll have to worry about Ryan Collett who seems to always be in the end zone. The Bell County defense has buckled down and may be the best defense in the mountains, if not all of 3A, excluding Central. I just don't see HC winning this, and I don't see it being as close or near the thriller of last year.

This is one of the best rivalries in the mts. I think to be the best you have to beat the best. Bell has been king for awhile now. However, even king can loose. Both teams have adjusted well to season ending injuries. A tribute to both staffs and players. This game barring injury, will help prepare both teams for the playoffs. No matter who wins, it will be a great game and an electric atmosphere! Each team will give their all, but they understand that what is important is the playoffs. I hope HC finally breaks through for a W! IMO HC will exercise the BC demons 31-24. Good luck to both teams!

Does HC have a passing attack? I don't see anyone without some kind of passing threat beating us. Lex Cath and Bryan Station are the only teams to go over 20 on bell this year, both with some pretty darn good athletes and darn good passing attacks. everyone else has struggled, and struggled bad with a one dimensional offense vs. this Bell defense. I don't think HC scored more than Lex Cath or Bryan Station. I can maybe see 21, maybe. My opinion is, Bell is capable of busting this one wide open, Just depends on what HC defense shows up. If it's the one that showed up for Knox/Whitley..could be a darn good game. If they repeat the GRC or Tates Creek performance..eh...Good luck to both teams making it out injury free.

When do you think they will have a decision on where the game will be played?
#57
A decision on where the game will be played is suppose to be made sometime monday.

Gonna have to take the Bobcats in a close one:

Bell County - 14

Harlan County - 12

Hope I'm wrong, though. Go Bears!

I do what I can! Glad people got it this time last I got blasted for being so mean!

I don't see a high scoring game, very similar to the Knox game! Hopefully with a better outcome for the Black Bears! Maybe someone throwing the ball will make the difference!
