Bell wins by 2-3 TD's

Southeast Bluegrass Wrote:Yep, we are good at Bell, but, somewhere down the road, somebody will beat us. Maybe not today, maybe not next week, but, somebody will eventually beat us. It's easy for someone to get on here and point that out. I guess it makes them feel better. Stick to the topic at hand. Corbin 10-12. Not some other team weeks away. Good grief. If it will make you feel better, go to your window, stick out your head, and yell, "Bell County will get beat sometime in the future and I will be so happy!!!" It may make you feel better.:please:

Corbin 12

I only pull against Bell one game a year, other than that I like to see them win. I know that the program I support respects Bell and the game that they play, I guess that is why they continue to play year after year....that and nobody else wants to play either of them....LOL. Bell plays physical football and they are well coached, what is not to like?

Bell should win this by 2 or 3 touch downs. I think it'll be a good game in the first half. But then Bell I think will pull away in the second half.
44-21

This game could be closer than people are predicting. If Corbin doesnt turn the ball over this will be a close game that Corbin can win. This is a huge game for Jewell. Been many years since a Corbin team went on the road for round 1.

HAROLD Wrote:IF Corbin is to win this game, they will need to step up on D and keep Bell to 17 or below. Corbin has a very solid D this year but their offense leaves a whole lot to be desired. Powers and Coppock could be very good backs if given appropriate carries. Matt Jewell is a good back and runs hard but is limited with his physical abilities.

Taylor Waddle needs to have more QB runs designed for him. He is a very good runner.

Waddle averages around 7 carries per game, which includes sacks. He is the fastest player on the team and would like to see him get 10 designed runs per game. He would be starting in the secondary as well if I had a say in it. Powers gets about 5 carries per game and Coppock 8.

Bell is bigger, stronger and more physical, so the only thing that could give Corbin the advantage is to have a superior game plan. I think we can all agree that isn't going to be the case either. If Bell's defense sets up to stop a run by Jewell on every play, they'll be right 7 out of 10 times. This is not a difficult Corbin team to defend.

Heck, GRC held them to 13 points in the first game of the season. Then in GRC's next 6 games they gave up 34, 54, 53, 40, 23, and 35 points.

The only thing keeping this one close is Wayne Mills and Tom Greer's friendship. Wayne will take it easy on them.

From what I have heard from the Bell players, the Coaches are expecting Waddle to run the ball alot against them. They are game planing for Waddle and every trick play in the book. Bell's coaches will leave no stone unturned. I would say they have every Corbin film from the last decade.

First time in a long time the Bobcats have rolled into Campbell field. Should be fun.

Waddle may run the ball more this week, possibly from the tailback position, with Taylor getting a lot of time at the QB spot. Also a couple of players with potentially playmaking ability, who have either not played any offensively or just in mop up duty will be getting reps this week.

You do know your boy Tommy is in the Corbin school system now right?

Over the education center.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him in red on the sidelines with another coach coming from a little further east.....

Might but doesn't have anything to do with football now.

Corbin will keep it close because of their style of football, and being at home "well you know" we will get some calls. Bell by 2 td's, if Corbin pulls the upset the for-sale sign may be removed.

Has nothing to do with Wayne taking it easy on Corbin though.
