i'm glad to see that all the lady hornets got a little bit of credit for the win against belfry.

Any MC fan that doesn't believe that is kidding themselves. MC's coach is the most ridiculous coach I have ever witnessed on the court. He should of had at least 3 techs on the stomping alone, much less crossing the center court line to shout at the refs.
There was no way that Belfry would come out of there with a win. Everytime that MC had the ball in the 4th there was a foul called on Belfry. They won on nothing but foul shots alone...
Thanks refs for helping the hornets with the win.,

Yeah, belfry had to push off because it's hard to play ball with girls on your back the entire night.Michaela playing you dont come witin 10
Like I said, and will continue to say, if the game was played ANYWHERE besides Magoffin County, it would have been a different story.

Officiating is bad every where in the region because the refs are pitiful in most cases. But I agree Magoffin is a tough place to get a good called game, but the arguments that the game was lost to the officials is a little old.

Belfry's coach would say that because, unlike MC's coach, he has class. Clapping your hands in the other team's coach's face, like Pup did, at a call against the other team is classless and definately doesn't show any respect.

Here are the stats for Belfry's players:
Johnson - 2
Chapman - 17
Deskins - 14
Moon - 18
Stanley - 16
Thacker - 5
Muncy - 5
Kline - 2

Does anyone have Magoffin's players stats?

I don't think any team should be too confident, look at what happened last year in the tournament. The only thing that comes from fans building up their team to be unbeatable is that they get beaten, usually during tournament time.

How many points did Calloray have, Belfry's defense really seemed to shut her down.

So if this game was played at your place or anywhere else besides magoffin that this would be different? well i totally disagree, cause no matter how hard belfry tries the hornets are number in the region and you will just have to face the fact that your # 2 and will not be moving on up for a while.....!!!
Is it called defense when Magoffin's players hold jersey's the whole night? No.
Is it called defense when a Magoffin player falls back down on two Belfry players so they can't get down the court? No.
You need to look up the rules of defense.

"Sidelines" Wrote:Belfry dosent lay down i'll give them that... but had the Hornets been fresh and not had a tough disrtict game last night as well as had Michaela Howard in the starting line-up, there would have been a greater deficit in the final score...
Did MC even play their game on Friday? The KHSAA scoreboard doesn't have a score. And by the way I wouldn't call Sheldon Clark a tough district game. MC's fans sure are defensive about the fact that they almost got beaten by a 15th region team. Are they realizing that the road to state may not be that easy? One final note, IMO I don't see having Michaela in the starting line up making that big of a difference because once she does come back, it will take some time (and there may not be enough time left in the year) to get back to 100%. You are never really the same after an injury.

I agree, I saw this and was appaled that someone would purposely lay back down on another player so they couldn't get down the floor.
As for someone's comment that Ashley Howard and Brittany Manns got elbowed in the stomach, if they can dish it out, they should be able to take it, Ashley Howard just about takes player's heads off when she goes up for a block or a steal and I have a feeling it is not accidental, one of these days she is going to get someone seriously hurt.

All night long Belfry was reaching around every time we would work it inside. They were pushing off all night and nothing was called, I recall one time late in the 4th tate Ashley Howard attacked the basket and had her head taken off, it should have been something more than a personal foul. The refs let both teams play all night long it was a very physical and hard fought game by both teams lets move on and forget about it.

I seen that. It wasn't just a personal foul.

Obviously you are not awair of how many knee surgeries this girl has had. She has had 3 meniscus surgeries and 1 acl, you think a little ankle injury will stop her? she came back way past her due time from her acl surgery (3 months before) and played like she was 100%...So don't count her out for the rest of the year. I LOOK FOR HER SOON TO BE BACK 100%.

actually yes the lady hornets did play at sheldon clark friday night, i was there, and also like i said in a post b4, u can sit on this website and make excuses and excuses and your still not gonna prove anything, i mean really all your doin is trying to pick fights, imo u dont need to worry about the past, the past was belfry got beat by magoffin in a very good, tough game, u need to worry about the future, like worrying about wat they can do to improve their girls, and have a good chance of winning the next time magoffin plays belfry, so good game to both teams
