Zebra eyes if refs are there cause they love the game why do so many of them not call it fair? No one is perfect, but some games are so cheated that you have to cry!Belfry won friday, but check out the pics on the PCC Belfry thread and see why its reason to complain.

I think that some day soon vidio proof will soon make refs think before they cheat.

Those pics are just showing football. This happens on every field of every level of football. Holding could be called on every play!

I like how some schools say "If you go east of 75 your going to get cheated" then teams from east of 75 come west of 75 and say they got cheated. And now to end all i'm hearing teams in the east of 75 target area say they are cheating each other. This game of twister is getting interesting

Zebra eyes are serious. Some holding calls are missed, but you wont make me or anyone on here believe that grasping the jersey and pulling is just football. PCC was never called for holding not one time in that game, but that went on all night. Sure some calls are missed but as you and a blind man can see that should not happen to a team all game long. They are so easy to see that most of them should be called if not ALL.:HitWall: You must be one who likes to see kids cheated. I would not want to win that way and would not take up for Belfry or any team who does this.:dontthink

Guys watch it. No need and telling people to be quite or Shut the F*** up when they have a right to say what they want but they aren't allowed to cuss at people. You play the game to win. I do agree that there's some games that there's some calls that are missed but once a game goes final there's nothing more that can be done about that game except move on and prepare for the next game. So again watch it, don't let things get out of hand on this thread or it will be closed!

The way I look at it, officiating is as much a part of the game as offense and defense. We all have seen very good officiated games and very poorly ones just as we have seen good teams play poorly on offense or defense. Much of it is a matter of perspective as well. I might say my team has a great offensive effort on one night; opposing fans may say their team just had a poor defensive night. I have had the opportunity to play many football games in seasons where wins were scarce as well as the wonderful experience of starting both ways on a 10-0 regular season. As both a player and a fan, I have experienced games where I felt all the calls were going against us. I also have experienced games where it seems like all the breaks were coming our way. In either situation, I have never truly felt an official was intentionally calling a game in a fashion to try to sway the outcome.
As I said earlier, officiating is as much a part of the game as offense and defense thus it is open to criticism and debate as much as anything else. We as fans just need to accept it, debate it, argue about it sometimes but then move on.

Well said fox. I can agree with most of what you say. I still think refs should be called out for what they do only to correct the bad behavior. Say how you feel about the bad calls move on, and get over it.

While I agree officiating is "just part of the game" that does not make it ok to accept poor officiating wheter due to inaccurate or missing calls, or worse, unethical refs. It is easy to argue that no other game relies so heavily on accurate and ethical officials. In baseball, if they swing and miss its a strike no matter what. If you miss the basket in basketball it is never good for 2 points. In football - EVERY single play hinges on whether or not the ref "allows" the play to stand. To that end, refs are as big a determinent in a game as the players themselves. No other sport endures that type of authority from its officials. That makes it especially harmful to football as a sport when refs miss calls, or call things that simply were not accurate.
In this game a championship was on the line. And while there will never be a reversal of calls nor will anyone paint a white hat next to the year 2011 on the District banner for Russell - everyone knows at this point that the officials, rightly or wrongly, played a critical role in the outcome of this contest. If the calls they made and didn't make were accurate - then those of us who feel different are just wrong - so be it. If, on the other hand, those calls really were inaccurate then at least maybe this discussion will continue to increase the pressure on refs to do the right thing to the best of their ability. So be it.

I agree Fox! My point all along is that people don't exactly know the rules and how to apply them to the game. When a fan sees a jersey get pulled they say hold but refs look at the context of the play to determine if it was or not.

With all due respect Football1, I think you are carrying this a bit too far. I can agree with the fact that there were missed calls in the game. I'll even go as far as accept that it may have been more harming to the Panthers than it was to the Lakers, but to keep coming on here and making it a point to belittle the performance of the Laker players is of no benefit to you or the Panther program. The officiating in this game may have been poor, but it was far from playing a Critical Role in the outcome of this game. There were opportunities to make plays in this game and the Lakers stepped up and made them.
I have made it a point to take every effort to show respect and support to the panther fans and players, many of whom I know personally. However, I expect the same in return towards our players. I'm not sure who's benefit the above post is for, but to me, it seems to be of no benefit to any of us.
