I'm a big HAWK fan but I DO have doubts this year.We lost a beast of a player in CODY HOLLEN.This young man is an awesome football player he made most of our tackles last year.I will really miss watching him play.PERRY CENTRAL will get a great player.
In 2011 our young players will have to step up.We still have alot of talent but I will be a little more doubtful this year.I also think this will be the year we will see how good CHAPMAN really is.I do believe he's a great coach but we had awesome players the last 2 years.

He has some really good players returning this year. They should fair out well these juniors and seniors have been under his system for two years now. They understand how he wants things done and how to play his system. I'm going to go on a limb and predict another 7 plus win season again.

His dad ended up at Knott. Cody didn't want to go to Knott and play so he went back to Perry.

Thanks for the info I knew Mr. Hollen had but that sorta shocked me when I say Cody decided to split from his father. Good Luck to Cody though he's a great kid and has a bright future.

Yes they lost 4 out of the 5.

New game added:
September 16th: Appalachia, VA (Home)
Also, I heard through a player that we will likely be playing Phelps again in the Pike County Bowl this year.

Last year was their first big game and you've got to be prepared entering games with that type of atmosphere (and I know that wasn't Chapman's schedule).
What they must improve on has laready been mentioned. Losing Johnson at WR will also be tough, he was a great possesion WR and a solid defensive back.
PC's biggest concern will be the line on both offense and defense. They lose some pretty good lineman...

If I;m not mistaken, they were ruled eligible to play basketball so I cant see them being ruled ineligible for any other sport.

If Chapman hangs around for awhile then they will start needing to send in another team for them to play. Pike Central is clearly the second best team in the county untill they take that Belfry monkey off their backs. I didn't know they could make them play the same team twice in a row. I figured they would match them up with East Ridge being that they haven't played them in the Pike County Bowl since 06.

I would personally like to see a Pikeville/Pike Central game however, Pikeville admin have been undercutting that idea for a long time and I dont forsee it ever happening. I think if it were up to Coach Mac there would have been a series begin back before he came to Pike Central again. All we can do is hope lol

Pikeville won't play them for reasons I don't know. I know when I played I always wanted to play them guys from Pikeville and we never could get them on the schedule.

Central & ER already play, they are in the same district. That's why they don't play in the PCB.

This is the problem with Eastern Kentucky people. Sweep things under the rug and hope it goes away. It is like the ostrich syndrome, bury your head and let your gluteus maximus show (Hope the last two terms are not over all your heads).
12 affidavits from Floyd Co. and 1 from Pike Co. Vidoes, Pictures what else does the KHSAA need?
Chapman is not God, even though he thinks he is. Pikeville did not want him, matter of fact not too many others wanted him except for, guess who? Pike Co.
If you can not win with what you have then develope what you have and then win.
It is sad that a so-called professional would do what ever it takes to win and the expence of the student\athletes future!

Here we go again...... Maybe if some of the sworn statements were made by individuals who actually knew what it meant to tell the truth instead of only stating half-truths and allegations against kids ...... And maybe if some of those people would teach their children that the fact is that there are times that you have to compete with others in this life ....... But I guess if you decide to teach them to lie and slander others in order to get what they want, that is your choice. Most people believe that you have to work for what you want.....whether it be for a position on a football team or a position at work.......you have to compete. Most people also believe that you work to put food on the table for your family and to provide luxuries such as health insurance, video cameras, gas......but then again....there are those that decide to lie and deceive, make false allegations against others, and on and on but that is OK as long as it works for them. Right? Those who live in glass houses should definitely not be throwing stones.

You have the right to defend your self against accusations, (Due Process). That's one of the rights the Constitution of The United States Of America affords you and every other citizen. Thank God for the constitution or people like you would have already had vigilante justice. LMAO, that would be funny if you did or did not do something illegal then the system came after you for the crime and didn't allow you "Due Process". I bet you would want an attorney to defend you and your rights. Maybe you would like to sign away your rights, I think I will keep mine. In a court of law there are two sides to every story and evidence for both sides is heard. I do like the way you wrote student (singular), you must be one of the interested parties. By the way, the terms you used were not over my head, but I do suggest you use spell check the next time.:thanks:

Enough on the "OFF TOPIC" stuff. This is a thread about Pike Central football and their upcoming season/schedule. Please, keep it on topic and leave the extracurricular comments out of it! This is the ONLY warning that is going to be given!

I don't think it is off topic, this case is HUGE concerned Central's 2011 season.

I have to agree that the eligibility of certain key players is relevant to the 2011 season for PCC. That said, best of luck to Pike and Coach Chapman. Obviously, Appalachian and Phelps are 2 wins in hand before it starts.

I'm pretty sure the reason they only played was because Trimble backed out of the game. Pike Central couldn't find someone else to fill the spot, but I believe this year they have 10.
