Basketball should be no contest. East Ridge dont have the talent or the coaching Valley has. Valley will beat ER pretty rough this year. Mark it down.

Are you serious man??? Wow that is some bold predictions considering that most people would place ER towards the middle to low part of the region. In no way am I confident that Valley will win the region but I think that they have just about the same type of chance as East Ridge. Should be a good couple games between the two but I think that Valley gets the Warriors.

East Ridge should be good because of their big man. But, I don't see East Ridge winning it or playing with the speed Shelby Valley will have or the coaching. Same thing goes with Pikeville. I see Bart getting out coached again. But, it will be exciting to watch. Good luck to them all! :Thumbs:

Coach wise, it's close. ER has a good coach. Valley has a good coach. But, I do believe Valley has a better middle school group.

Until the big kid for ER proves he is more than just that, a big kid, I cannot put much faith in ER. He should dominate games in this region and he has not IMO. I look for it to be a Pikeville/SV battle for the district and I too think Pikeville may have a little more expirience this year that will push them over the top. Valley has built something there that isnt going away any time soon. Anyone that comes into a game with them thinking there horses have gone will get thumped back into reality.

IMO Pikeville will have several players that can score and play defense. By tournament time, these kids will have enough experience to compete with anyone in this region. We do not know what type of offense that Pikeville will run this year, but hopefully they will use the down low inside game with Wes and the shooting of the guards and forwards on kick out passes or on screens and picks. I would use a lot of pick and roll with these kids to force the opposing team to switch to get mis-matches. Also, penetrating on the dribble will put a lot of pressure on the defense to help out, which in turn will give the guards or forwards an open look. This team can win the District and maybe the Regional.

e. ridge first off you cant spell. but this district will be tough. imo east ridge wont win it. its between us and pikeville. alot of people are on here are talking bad about us. but we will surprise you. we got a lot of talented players. our only problem is experience. i look to lead this team to a region championship along with the help from my brother and jake robinson and hopefully ramey. but guys be ready to see some good ball games from us in the district and region.
