Anyway if you were not at the game you missed a Panther team that played with a lot of heart. Being that several Pikeville players had to come off the field at times, the kids that stepped on continued to push to the limit and very little was noticed that maybe a starter was not on the field at one time or another, so hats off to you younger lads that stepped up.
Also, if you read several of the previous post by the SC fans, Pikeville gave them a great game and I'm so proud of this team. This group of Panther kids have continued to improve in each game they've played.
I wish you the BEST in your play-off games!!

Very well said.

The Contrarian Wrote:Pikeville hung in pretty well, even though they made numerous mistakes. The center snaps were a huge problem. Their passing game was pretty fair.

Sheldon Clark seemed a little lethargic in spots; this must be eliminated if they are to go deep in the playoffs. The pass defense was poor, to say the least.

Some good things I saw for Sheldon Clark were, what many of us do not watch, the blocking by Taylor Chapman and KP Skyles. In addition, BJ Jarrell and Skyles ran hard. I think Skyles gained 155 yards for the game.

Bottom line: Sheldon Clark needs consistency, play the whole game with intensity, improve blocking in the line, utilize the strong running attack, dramatically improve the pass defense, and eliminate mistakes.

Good luck nest week, Cards!

I heard that KP gained 195 yards Friday night, not 155. The difference, I think, is in regard to the screen pass that he ran for about 35 or 40 yards.
I am not sure whether that would be counted as a rush. I watched the video of the game and he was behind the LOS 2 yards when he caught the screen. So does that count as a rush. The LOS was the 47; he caught the ball on the 44.5. Anyway, I believe that's the discrepancy.

Obviously I'm a little biased for I am a Card fan, but I believe that KP is probably the most underrated running back in Eastern Kentucky. Not only does he have speed, but he is a power back, also.
