Magoffin Co. 48 Betsy Layne 12

I think that we need to not single out any players and look at the team as a whole. If you look at the past records on the hill you will notice that the team has had only a couple of multiple win seasons scattered across the last decade. Compare that with the last 3 years statistics and see that the program is on an incline. Every team has a bad night time and time again, but you win as a team and loose as a team (players and coaches). From what I have seen from the Bobcats this season so far they will definitely turn some heads the remainder of this season. Good luck to the bobcats !!

Magoffin County may have came out on top in this one but in doing so they got some massive help from Betsy Layne. In the 1st qurater magoffin scored and B.L. came right bak at them and the score was 8 to 6. Then it seemed like instead of Magoffin taking over it was more like B.L. was just going through the motions. With the score 24-6 late in the 1st half B.L. was inside the Magoffin 5 yard line and B.L.'s time management in that situation caused them not to score. At the begining of the 2nd half B.L. recovered a Magoffin fumble that a few plays later resulted in a negated B.L. touchdown due to a holding penalty. If B.L. seized just those two opportunities you're looking at 24-18 late in the 3rd quarter (not counting conversions) 24-22 (if they converted). I realize that wasn't the case but sitting there watching the game I saw that Betsy Layne may have gotten out played but by no means was it a dominating performance by Magoffin. This should go to show the Bobcats that they can control their own destiny. They truely can make out of this season what they want to.....And about the Jarrell kid, you're right he has a mouth on the field and I have talked to him about that (because with the right attitude that kid could honestly be an all-state type player and I told him that also and I firmly believe that. On the other hand, he can sure (on a personal basis) back up his mouth...lol...He just gets lost in the game and I can't totally say that it is a bad thing from that stand point.

but down the road in a close game. You don't need to motivate another team because of your players running their mouth

Actually, how about you go to KHSAA and look at Magoffins stats? I am pretty sure their QB will be #2 in the state once the leaderboards are updated this week. After the Betsy Layne game he will be at a little more than 900 yards and 13 TD's.

I don't know who the little lady with the camera is you're referring to, lol. But I'm not trying to pick on the kid, or talk bad about him. He is athletic as h*** and one heck of a running back. If I offended anyone I am sorry, that was not the intent of my posts. So lets just change the subject! And I want to wish the Bobcats good luck on the rest of the season, and in district play!
