That is why I think there 5-8th graders is the key to getting the program running. Right now they just don't have what they need. It will get better, and I think the Jenkins community is a little more patience than some of us Cougar fans. It will come with time.

Someone over there in Jenkins needs to let us know about some players. I know they have had winter and spring weight/conditioning, but who has really improved that we need to keep our eyes on?

Why do you need to keep your eyes on the Jenkins players?

More patient than Couger fans? What does that mean?

IMO We tend not to let good things take time, and we do get spoiled a lot. I have been just as guilty as anyone else.

Very good reason. I hope they do too.

It takes time for some good things to happen. LCC has been patient and has turned things around from the beginning.

LCC as a school has, but some fans have not.

I guess I am telling my age by saying this, I can remember a time when Jenkins was as tough as anyone around. Of course you are talking about a different era in time. Enrollment is the biggest obstacle for Jenkins. I realize they might pick up a few kids that could go to Letcher Central, but probably not top notch athletes. Most of the kids that go to Jenkins in lieu of Letcher Central probably want a smaller school atmosphere. Jenkins is going to struggle with enrollment issues unless there is an influx of businesses to come in and bring people.

They are building a new plant at the Gateway Industrial Park. Liguid Nitrogen plant. This might bring families who's kid might go to Jenkins.

Only game they won last year was south floyd on khsaa scoreboard. Got crushed by that bishop first year team and gave up 60 5 or 6 times. Seriously who are you going to beat???? Facts are facts and stats don't lie. Jenkins was easily in the top of the worse teams in the state last year according to their stats. Hey stats are stats check them out for yourselves.
