Mr Basketball: Mid Season Discussion

BlackcatAlum Wrote:Sure didn't take this thread long to become an Elisha Justice thread.

I can finally see why everyone outside of Pike County is tired of seeing his name on this board.
So you are comfortable making these two statements, well, you and the rest of this site are going to see an awful lot more of Elisha Justice and SV mentioned on this site. Blackcat, I had a lot of respect for you last year, but no longer, lol.

Your loss.

I have only been a member on this site for a little over a year and have only posted about 40 times. I always try to pray before I post that God will help me to say the right things. My main objective is to show support for ALL of these hard working children! I sincerely try to compliment ALL teams. I really don't know a lot about other teams since I'm from the SV area. I am getting really frustrated about even trying to help encourage them because every time I've posted (and I have never been arrogant about what I say) someone complains! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, show me on this thread where one SV fan has been arrogant in any way about Elisha!!!!!!!! His supporters have only stated their opinion about what a great kid he is and then we get blasted! Should we all just quit posting about our home player? That is so unfair! I am so glad to see others get on here and support their players because kids need to hear this encouragement and believe me they do get on here and read this stuff! Again, I can't find one place on here where someone is being arrogant about Elisha, if I'm overlooking it could you please show me!

BlackcatAlum Wrote:I'm sorry, but anytime someone says speaks out about Shelby Valley or Elisha you better bet that several SV supporters are going to attack this member. I see it in just about every SV thread.

And no one said that there is anything wrong with anyone expressing their opinion about who the support. Its just that a lot of us are being turned against a lot of SV supporters because of the comments they make when someone criticizes SV or picks against them in a prediction thread.

Then stop criticizing children! Shame on you! It is ok to predict against them but it doesn't have to be done in a mean way! Please show me some examples of those comments!!!!!! I can't find any!

People hate seeing others succeed--plain and simple! Many people support Elisha, but there seems to be a bigger number who like to criticize him. The thing is, it isn't about Elisha. No matter who the player was it would still happen. It happened with Landon Slone and it will happen with the next big star from here.

I'd put my money on Tiller from Paintsville...if he doesn't transfer because that team is not going to help him get any attention.

I do not even like Shelby Valley, but I have to say Elisha is a lot better team player than Sewell and Hickey. And there is no one in the state that can stop him. Don't hate on this outstanding athelete

This thread has completely fallen apart. If anyone wants to start a new thread discussing the respective candidates' Mr. Basketball chances, feel free.
