They were never both in 1A, I assume you meant 2A.

Raceland has very little chance of winning or even kepping the score close but I would enjoy it if they do win. There are really only a couple of teams that can beat Lex Christian and Raceland is not one of those but Raceland did almost pull it off before and that is why they play the games, lots of luck from out west.

NewCath was 1a until Kentucky switch to 6 classes. They have eliminated Raceland in the 1a playoffs many times including once when I was at Raceland, I believe Raceland beat NewCath for their first ever playoff win on the road.

NewCath and Beechwood were in the same district for many years. One of those schools always won the district title.

Back to the LCA/ Raceland game. I would love to see Raceland come out and have a big game. Who knows if will happen we will find out. I believe that this game will be much closer than the last time they played.

BTW, is LCA's field in the same location of the high school? If not where do they play?

I think Lawrence is in the same category as we are. Both Bell/LCA are just better on paper. But if we can both come out and play our absolute best and things go our way. Both the Rams and the Dawgs will be playing next friday!

If they both were never in 1A explain to me how I lost to NCC my sophomore and junior year(01 and 02) and then lost to them my senior year(03). How could you say you know anything about 1A football when you didn't know both Beechwood and NCC were in 1A?

That's easy, I'm getting old and they changed to so many classes it confused me. You are correct, and after thinking about it we have played both in 1A title games. We were 2A when I played and it is just hard for me to think of it otherwise. That all being said my point is still valid about Raceland's chances. I know plenty about 1A and KY football.
