Come on Westside, you're a smart guy, you know exactly where everybody is coming from...Traveling is not the issue...The issue is not to give away your entire athletic budget to play teams that wont reciprocate a return game the following year. You cant go bankrupt in the scheduling process either. There has to be that happy medium. I don't think that is too much to ask of anyone that you schedule...After all, it's not like you're asking anyone to come play at a cow pasture in Paintsville. JC's facilities are second to none.
Anyways, I hear that they will be changing the site of the state championship games to the (Honorable) Eric C. Conn Memorial Field for the next decade, or until he is indicted by a Congressional Grand Jury(whichever comes first). Should be a short trip of what about 25 miles or so from Paintsville to play the championship game.

I'm glad you have traveled because Whitley's team won't. They were contacted about a week 10 home/home for the upcoming two seasons from both JC and Belfry and declined. Said it was out of their travel radius.

I must have been hallucinating when I watched them play Pike Central at midnight lol. I've watched them play at Belfry a couple times.

Coach Jason Chappell is a super guy and hopefully his family gets settled in Whitley very soon. In time I think he will do some great things there. The drive home he explained the one night I spoke with him has to be strenuous. As a family man and a father, I love nothing more than to spend time with my young one and I'm sure he does as well.

This is non sense. Whitley played series with JC (scrimmages), Boyle, home and away, Belfry, home and away, and has traveled all the way to pike county.
It cracks me up that anyone would comment on Whitley schedule when the last 5 years several members would continually ask how that tough schedule was treating Whitley. They didn't get credit for playing those games by most people because they lost, yet when they ease up on the schedule they get called out for not playing tough teams.
In other words its a lose lose situation with most idiots.

However, this whole argruement could have been avoided if JC had moved up to 5A with HHS and CC. JC has higher enrollment numbers than both.
This would be easily solved if HHS and CC would play in the class there suppose to. JC is.

For Cov Cath that's not the case. Their current enrollment places them in 5A. For some reason when they went thru this most recent realignment, the KHSAA chose to base it on a four year avg enrollment vs a two year avg which had been the case in the past.

Was informed that JC has added Lexington Catholic in a two year deal. 2015 at Catholic and 2016 at Central
Have heard the following but not confirmed:
5 district games (Ashland, Rowan County, Greenup County, Boyd County & East Carter)
Belfry
Lexington Catholic
Harlan County
Fairland
Need to add one more.

Not bad so far.
Belfry and Southwestern could not find a week that would work to re-up their contract...maybe JC and Southwestern can make a date work?
Would be a nice series for the next two years.

Both JC and Belfry are currently open for week 3. If Belfry can't make it that means JC can't either due to SW schedule. Also, if I were Belfry, a return game would have been a must after going on the road for two consecutive years.

JC plays two scrimmages and choose not to have an open week, negating week 0. Week 1 @ Fairland. Week 2 @ Lexington Catholic not week 3. Lexington Catholic will be a great test for any team. 26 seniors return and their RB is a STUD. Ashland loses their QB and also Long has transferred to a school near Columbus, OH after his mother got a promotion. Congratulations to her in advancing her career.

JC's schedule will be pretty tough for their style football. Their district is down besides Ashland and an alright Rowan County team. Their non-district schedule is pretty solid from what I have heard and seen. They will have a tough regular season next year with some exceptions of certain teams, but should have an outstanding run in the playoffs, especially with this great young talent, JC will be in Bowling Green next year.

WK0 (Scrimmage #2)
WK1 Fairland OH
WK2 @ Lexington Catholic
WK3 ***GAME NEEDED***
Wk4 Vs Harlan County
WK5 Vs Boyd County
WK6 Vs East Carter
WK7 @ Greenup County
WK8 Vs Rowan County
WK9 @ Ashland
WK10 @ Belfry
So if this is true as most are referencing, Johnson Central needs a game in week 3. So now the question is, who has an open date in week 3?

They play weak teams and run the score up. The key ingredient to your ranking is how bad you beat people, and believe me you guys have a coach that loves to rub it in. There is not 1 class of the 6 in the KHSAA that JC could contend in. :gtfo:
Are you on drugs o just that much of a Matney hater? How can we "not content in any class' but kick the shit out of Belfry the past 2 years and they have went on to win the state.
Who do you want JC to play that we are not trying play up and down 23?
( I am sure you do not have a team)
Man I guess if you want to be classless and just be a hater just can make such statements.

Surely you aren't going to pay attention to a fan of a team that has been proven to be scared to death to play Johnson Central are you?
