This just goes to show you how far pikeville has slipped as of late? I think Harlan thought they were a little better than what they are after beating a not so good pikeville team! The jackets were ready to play and had a great game but I am still not sold on them because Harlan hasn't proved anything yet. Having said that, come the end of the year, single a football in the mnts is Wide open. I watched Hazard last night and they are down from the previous year! Hazard, Williamsburg and Harlan all have a shot at the regional title and anyone else who might get on a roll late in the season!

No I didn't see it? It's sad you would like a comment made from an idiot! Remember?

[quote=buzz]The score could have been worse than it was but why keep throwing touchdowns when you can run the ball at will and burn some clock. I really dont see that Harlan held them to 1 touchdown in the second half what I saw was williamsburg burning the clock and making defensive stops. And I hope the QB for Harlan recovers from the hit and it was a clean hit by a unblocked defensive end due to the fact they where having to double team the helton kid because he was to much for one man to handle[/QUOTE
Helton is to much for any one blocker, and he may be one of the most talented kids on the team. He isn't to bad on offense either.

I sure hope the Harlan kids that got hurt are fine. I think they will still be a contender it would great for them to have another shot at the Burg in the region playoffs.

Impressive win for the Yellowjackets.

the A team Wrote:To say that the score would have been different, had Saragas had played the second half is a little far fetched. If my memory is correct the score was Williamsburg 30 and Harlan 0 at the half. If the score reflects on whether or not Sargas played, it would have been different in the first half. The reason the D looked so good during the second half, is because Williamsburg ran the ball and threw relatively short passes throughout the out the second half. More or less... it looked to me, as if Williamsburg called off the dogs and initiated their cruise control formation. If the comment- "you will not beat Williamsburg at home"; is a reference to the officiating...that too is far fetched. Despite the calls, (which I might add) appeared very fair. A 30-0 deficit at half time can't be blamed on the officiating any way that you choose to look at it. This game boiled down to who had the better athletes, along with which team had the better defense, as I stated in previous prediction forums.
They beat Jellico 68-6 but they call off the dogs and go into cruise control just after halftime against Harlan when up 30-0. Why? That doesn't make sense to me.

they did call off the dogs in the second half against jellico. Williamsburg took the starting line out, let the second team qb play and third team qb play. not to mention the whole defense switched positions and players. it could be that harlan is better than jellico.

I can tell you that they had most of the starters in in both games during the third quarter. Williamsburg was trying to score in the third, but found it much more difficult. I do think it is natural for kids to let up a little when there is a big lead, but a lot of players on both sides started cramping up in the second half. Harlan is a good team, and they will rebound from this if Saragas is healthy. These two will probably play again in the second round of the playoffs.

Your right. But I think for Harlan to have any shot at it they will have to play them at home and that would mean beating Hazard at Hazard. Another tall order.

Williamsburg and Hazard will most likely both be the one seed meaning they will both play at home during the playoffs until the regional championship, where, if both teams make it, will be at Wburg.

Poor ole Williamsburg didn't belong in the top 10...

Hate that the QB went down. Man this guy is good.

It was at Williamsburg last year.
Hazard is in District 6. It's an even-numbered year.

zaga fan... Please clarify your post.
Did you mean Williamsburg didn't belong in the "pre-season" top 10 but they do NOW?
OR...
Did you mean Williamsburg didn't belong in the "pre-season" top 10 and they still DON'T?
