No Fun For Paintsville.
#31
As a parent I have watched the student section cross the line a few times but this is nothing more than a knee jerk reaction from an very weak administration.
Maybe then need to police the things said by the coaches first.........then worry about the students.

This is crazy, the only one that comes close to being an "ok" rule is the booing of the cheerleaders, as from what Ive been told its a safety issue for the girls on the floor. As for the other rules they are crazy.

This is a joke! Paintsville's administration has ruined this school system. From the people they hire to the everyday decisions they make, it is a bad situation all the way around. It's funny the people who are running Paintsville aren't from Paintsville. They don't know the Paintsville tradition or what it takes to be a Tiger. There needs to be some MAJOR changes within the school system.

PaintsvilleTigerfan Wrote:Some of the rules set in place for Paintsville's student section.

No black paint, Because it is racist.

No Redneck-Nerd themes because they are offensive.

No yelling while the cheerleaders are on the floor.

No cut-off shirts allowed.

and no derogatory statements are allowed to be said at all.

No chants about the other team.

in other words they might as well sit down.

LOL, I can tell ya this much. Had these "rules" been put in when I played, they would have got broken every game. Our pep section was awesome from the front row to the back row, these "rules" wouldn't have meant anything to our boys/girls, they would have done it anyways. Ask O.J. Mayo how crazy they were, lol.

See how long these rules would last at Perry Central lol

Paintsville should take the good ole' fashioned WideRight05 approach. They need to greatly exaggerate everything that is going on, and show up at the games and just sit there and be completely quiet. I think of when Calipari allowed the UK students to attend a practice one time and they had to be completely quiet (but that was so Calipari and the coaches could be heard by their players). That is what the student section should do. They should also do dress up in suits or something like a school uniform, and yell extremely nice compliments to the other team. There's other things they could do, I am sure, but at least to make fun of the situation, that's a start.
