Corbin 2010
#31
Do Somerset and Corbin play this year? Does anyone have a tentative schedule?
#32
I would like to see corbin in the 3A class.
#33
Did anyone see any of spring ball.Did it look like we have any good lineman to fill in some spots.I heard that there was some bigger kids this year.
#34
where did you get your info on enrollment. Just curious, I know corbin will move up, but dont know how far, It will be nice to see the corbin/bell rivalery renewed. When will the class realignement take place? In 3 years we are going to be one of the better teams in the area.
#35
No way they want to move up. How often do the classes get reveiwed?

The schools male enrollment is reviewed and classes adjusted every two years.

Corbin will compete whatever class they play in.
#38
If Corbin moved out of their class, wonder who would fill their spot in that district?
#39
Does anyone has any info. about the upcoming schedule & when the class realignment is????????

We need a new stadium!!!!!!!! Has anyone seen the thread about the best HS stadiums in KY some of them are very nice, but we are stuck with a stadium that is over 50 yrs old. My father inlaw played on it and he graduated in the 60's.:igiveup::igiveup:

The stadium is quite old and needs updating but several of the Boyle players talked a bunch about how nice the field was last year.

Most likely Somerset. Somerset is playing up a class but if Corbin has to moved up I think the Briar Jumpers will be moved back into their class.

Are you kidding. I will take a tradition rich field like Corbin over any new stadium.

OUCH! That looks tough!

I have bolded the games that I am pretty sure they will lose. Looks like 3 losses for sure and 5 for sure wins. I will predict a 6 win season, not counting playoffs.

I'd probably take Hazard/GRC over North Laurel.

Corbin is a well coached and they will be a top 10 team in 2A this fall.

I meant to say that Hazard was one of the for sure losses, instead of North Laurel. I do think North Laurel will play them hard though.

Well IMO, I don't really see any for sure losses.

Most of the team they are playing lost a lot to graduation, but so did Corbin.

Corbin will have a pretty good team this year we will be young. But I do beleave the young players will step up.We did lose alot of starters on both sides of the ball. But still have sevearl kids with experience.

Foley
Okuma
Howington
Taylor
Mitchell
And alot of Sophmores and a few Juniors will step up.
Corbin is well coached. They will have there up and downs this year.
But by playoff time we will be alright.
Just need to stay healthy.

Boyle lost half their offense but only 3 on defense and the defense might be better than last year. They also return about 32 Sr.'s

Pratice has been going on for a little over a week. How have they been looking?Who been filling in some of the holes?

BIGREDDAWG Wrote:Division determinations arer based on the number of boys enrolled in a particular school. Apparently, while close, Corbin qualified the last time for 2a and will be 2a until the next realignment. I am sure they do not care to move up they can handle it.

Boys 09/10 year
Leslie Co. 272
Middlesboro 237
Knott Central 373
Corbin 388

Some boys 4a teams 09/10 year
Lawrence 380
Larue county 365
Bell Co 404
