JBS 69 - Magoffin 59
#31
Belfry Wins Wrote:I was at the game and am neutral pulling fo Magoffin probably and was in hospitality standing outside were I could see real good and those fouls were good calls. Magoffin tried to push around a team bigger than them. One call Magoffin got away with was a obvious push. Two guys feet had gotten tangled up and the Magoffin fell and then Magoffin player comes and pushes the boy down. I knew people would be complaining about calls but it wasnt the difference in the game. And yeah most did come at the line why? He drove and drawn fouls and at the end Magoffin was fouling him purposley trying to get back in it.
Magoffins game plan going in was to be physcial and that is what they did. But when you do that you cant complain about fouls.

yea magoffin is pretty physical but the fouls the called like hunley 3 in 25 sec. was not hard fouls 2 of those three werent even fouls. andits kind odd that 2 pgs foul out but the two block men didnt pick any fouls (take that back the may have got one in the forth idr)and that is the 1st time i have ever seen a ref change a call. when arnett(31) got fould in the 3rd then the ref switches the call to arnett doin the foul sounds pretty odd to me dont take me wrong the call didnt determine that game magoffin had the chances but when u get calls like those the do change momentom

If you call getting pushed down, punched, hit between the legs and called an SOB a walk then I guess there wasn't too many fouls.

I would really like to see Cox transfer to Hazard to play with the dawgs. He would be the one missing link to the team and He would be truely appreciated for his skill and get the recognition that he deserves.

Don't think the little angel crusaders didn't curse and i'd say if they would have got the chance they would have threw some cheap shots... but steppe wouldnt do that, it would take him out of the game and he couldn't shoot his 40 shots.

I'd like to see Cox play with Hicks. It would be a heck of a back court. Hicks is a senior and I don't think that could happen. Hicks is a heck of a team player and the best point guard in the 14th.

Magoffin may have played physical, but you make it sound like they are a bunch of thugs. There was a questionable play, but nothing even closely resembling that. Magoffin played aggressive ball, saying they were dirty players just isn't the truth.

It didn't just closely resemble it, it was just like that. This happens a lot and the fans don't feel a thing. I guess it just goes along with the game.

Yea it is a physical sport after all. If the game got to rough for the players they might need to look into a diffrent sport, like cheerleading or something.

lol....must be nice I guess i'd shoot 50 shot a game too when you can do no wrong it's pretty easy. I'll be suprised if Cox stays all four years, as soon as one Stepp graduates they'll want to try and turn the other Stepp into a star. Thats kind of sad for the other kids though.

Cox imop is the best player on that team and for him to only score 1pt in the game is a shame. He is a far better player than that and he should be put into positions so he can succeed. With JBS's talent they should have beaten Magoffin by 20+. I was at the game and dont forget they have a big man that never touches the ball inside and if he does it comes from an offensive rebound. I have heard that Cox would be at either Shelby Valley or Knott Central next season, probably be a much better situation for him at either place.

I agree

I agree, there were MANY questionable calls. Magoffin played their hearts out to a very good JBS team. 3 Points, I'm assuming you are from JBS. You all won, so why complain? Magoffin, good luck on your upcoming games against Wolfe and Paintsville! I hope you pull out the wins!!!

Moe Wrote:Stepp takes WAY to many shots, I don't know how in the world he averaged 8 assist last season. It must be nice to put up 50 shots a game and stay in.
I think a Stepp also keeps stats hmmmmmm 8 assists sounds fair.Cox I hear is headed for Knott Co. It would be best for his carrer since there is another Stepp in the wings waiting to replace Clark

I didn't think getting physical won ball games... I thought you had to score or something like that... Oh well shows you what I know about basketball!
#46
Get off Clark Stepp's back, Cox was played a physical game and couldnt get it going.. They depended on Clark to take those shots, leave him alone hes what keeps this team in it when everyone else is not on fire.

Your team got physical, JBS scored.

what is JBS ranked

3 points Wrote:Your team got physical, JBS scored.

Ha Ha no steppe scored... if JBS would have passer to the big man and maybe other teammates they would have won by 50... steppe is a ball hog and a selfish player. They might do good this season but no near as good as they could do if they allowed all members of the team to contriubute. the big guy had 4 points but if they would have been more worried about winning than steppe getting all his shots then collins would have been unstopable. But thats just my opinion like i said what do i know about basketball? But i guess being a true JBS supporter you will be able to answer that won't you...

lol...I'd say your probabily correct.
#52
If JBS loses Tate, they wont be as good of a team as they would be if he was there.
#53
Is anybody really all that surprised that when you put Stepp on the big stage that he is going to put up alot of shots... With all the attention that comes along with playing at the Expo Center, you knew going in that Stepp would be looking to be in the spotlight...
#54
stepp can play but he dont kno how to get his teammates involved.....he had his brother open four or five times and passed him up to drive and take an unbalanced shot....
#55
Cox is not leaving, so stop starting the rumors. You have no absolute idea on this or you would know yourself that he is not leaving, and i can guarantee you that.

Don't be so sure there Doc Pippa Passes. I think you may just eat those words.

I'm 100% i will not you have no clue about Cox, he is staying put, earlier they said he was going to pcc, hes not going to give up one year of eligibility possibly and he likes JBS i know, he is staying so dont worry about starting any more rumors on the fact that he is staying.

HE SHOULD LEAVE
#59
No stay. He is a good roll player for Stepp. Thats what he will always be a roll player at JBS. He would have been a star player on any other team.
