As far as signing class never seen in Kentucky by one school, umm, LAST YEAR.
Trinity.
SENIORS
Jason Hatcher (Kentucky)
James Quick (Louisville)
Ryan White (Vanderbilt)
Dalyn Dawkins (Purdue)
Travis Wright (Florida International)
* Jabari Jordan (WKU walk-on)
* DaeShawn Bertram (WKU walk-on)
* Mitchell Wessell (Georgetown College NAIA)
JUNIOR
Reggie Bonnafon (Louisville)
If we're including non-scholarship Morehead as D-I, I would think non-scholarship D-I A (FBS) walk-ons should count, too.
If you wanna go back to 2012, that Trinity team had 2 seniors who would play D-I (both on scholarship), 7 juniors who would play D-I (five scholarship, two walk-ons) and a sophomore who would sign D-I (Bonnafon). That's at least 10 eventual D-1 kids -- eight on football scholarships all on the FBS level (not lower-tier FCS) -- in one Kentucky high school program at one time.
Plus, that 2005 Elizabethtown senior class was pretty good
- Chris Todd signed with Texas Tech and transferred to Auburn (set records before Cam Newton came along)
- Zipp Duncan signed with Kentucky and started on the line. Had a tryout with the Eagles.
- Brandon Deaderick signed with Alabama and played in the Super Bowl with the Patriots.
- A.J. French signed with Western Kentucky.
You also have to keep in mind Morehead State's turnover rate is way ahead of ALL the other D-I schools in Kentucky (UK, U of L, Western then Eastern and Murray then Morehead) because it is financially more difficult for someone to play there. And Morehead will have some huge signing classes compared to UK and U of L and Western.
Western signed only 15 today. I'll bet Morehead "signs" way more than that (especially since they can take four from one school).

Much Love,
Titan Nation!!
Actually don't start the " I was only congratulating kids and didn't want to compare" crap. You started comparing in the very first post. Technically the kids going to Morehead didn't sign anything that a regular Morehead student doesn't sign. Frankly I think they all can play and I wish they had gone somewhere other than Morehead.

I appreciate you sharing that. I agree that the accomplishments of the MLC program has been great for a young program. I am hoping you can elaborate on the things they did that other teams can emulate. Coach Lucas does a great job, I am sure they will be solid for years to come.

Here is what you done right...took a 6A program, built a new school and brought all the football players to that school and played 4A football. I wish we had done that. LOL

Congrats To the 4 new eagles from the Collins program.
Let Haters Hate.
Coach Tenyer has assembled a good staff and has a talented Recruiting class to build his program around. They have filtered out numerous bad seeds from last season and I would expect a decent performance this season as he basically rebuilds this program from scratch.
Facts-
D-1 FCS. They do receive a tourney bid each year to play against giants like North Dakota and such.
They are the only conference in FBS and FCS football to have a non-scholarship program. "Non-scholarship" needless to say there are ways around.
They have been a laughable as of the past 6 years but that was do to weak recruiting classes under Ballard and a poor mentality.
I would expect them to gain respect this season and I look forward to a rematch with Pikeville, EKU and the addition of James Madison to the schedule.

Lawson Page and Ryan Watkins were probably two of the most underrated players in the state. Watkins had late interest from EKU to play LB and WKU as a preferred by opted to chose Morehead St.

This post reminds me of this:
http://www.gwinnettprepsports.com/news/2...-norcross/
Norcross, GA had an unbelievable 26 players get scholarships including 7 to BCS programs!
They had 14 players go to either FBS or FCS schools out of this Senior class.

I don't think that any body was trying (well almost anybody ) was trying to belittle the Collins accomplishments , however when I read a post headline that states 6 D-1signees I don't expect for four of them to be to morehead state.
Just saying , but congrats to the kids.
