PRP coach Dale Mabrey noted that J’town was still getting to know first-year coach Clay Moody back then.

“We had an experienced team that knew our system, whereas he was still teaching his system,” Mabrey said. “They have their feet wet now, so it will be a war. They’re strong underneath and shoot the ball well.”

Senior Cortez Macklin led PRP’s 96-59 second-round victory over Fern Creek on Wednesday, posting 23 points and nine rebounds. Diondrey Holt hit 8 of 8 shots and scored 21 points to lead J’town past Iroquois 77-64 on Tuesday.
