Something is up,Coach Chapman was not at Football banquet yesterday and not very much said about his not being there, but all Bobcat fans know he means a lot to the team as a whole and hopes he stays, but if he goes Good Luck and wish him only the very best, nothing has been done to replace him,not even much talk about his replacement, hope that will be done soon if Coach Chapman is leaving,Rumor was at Banquet was he had good salery increase($80's, plus no in classroom teaching and free lodging),so sound like lot better package than he has at Breathitt Co..

Rumor has it the deal will finalized and he will be signed as the head ball coach at PC sometime this week. If I am not mistaking he will be hired on at Pike Co. this week and will begin his duties this week from the way I understand everything. To go where you said he will not be teaching, on the norm the Pike Central coaches are given weigth lifting classes for anyone in the school who is interested and all footall players are normaley places in those classes. It is considered a PE class as they have to go through all the normal PE systems as well. As a PC fan he will be welcomed with open arms, and we wish the best for the Breathitt Co. program for alot of respect is given from this area to you all.

By playing in the wesk district they do, doyou think this hurts them come playoff time?
In some ways as far as injuries they stay healthy all year because u know there a power house team...but then go away from here they play other powerhouse teams that they havn't played and yes it's different for them has it to be...Like Belfry there District is so week they win win win but then goto regions and well loose....I'm not down grading any team just stating the facts...

Try this for facts.. Belfry has made it to the state semi-finals, NOT THE REGIONS, every single season since 2003.. they have also reached 3 State Finals in that time.
Try your argument again.

Good Luck Coach Champman. You will need it espically this year taking off.

What's sad is Mac and Barry were given permission to begin the Central Middle football program. They beat out SV and Pikeville to play Belfry in the county championship. Now, they won't see the fruits of their labor.
Chapman leaving Breathitt? Money talks, especially if the rumors are true and Chapman has a BOE position and focuses on football alone, whereas Mac still had classes to deal with and only one planning period every two days because of PC's messed up schedule. It makes a difference.

I do not think they have the current talent nor do they have a
strong feeder system. In addition, they are wedged right between 2 old E KY powers-Belfry & Pikeville. Just my opinion, In could be wrong. We will see. Time will tell the tale.

They lost 3 seniors and they do have some nice talent returning and the wedge toward Belfry will always be tough but the wedge toward Pikeville is not a factor and will become even less as time goes by. Pikeville is not a power
