Russell football became stagnant long ago. TJ had his work cut out for him when he arrived. He pretty much had to overhaul the program to fit his scheme. That takes time. They exceeded expectations in year one which made last year's mediocre results all the more frustrating.

It's only been two years. You've just got to be patient. If Russell's still spinning its tires in 3 or 4 years, then your pessimism might be justified. But not yet.

Russell is lucky to have TJ IMO. Great coach and just knows his stuff. Once he's gone i feel like you guys are gonna really miss him.

19-7 over 2 years and a trip to the State Semi-finals. Think your quarterback was out a few games last year and was no where near 100% after he came back. Whoever is complaining must be a joke. Also must have amnesia. What was there record the year before he TJ became coach. Don't think it was above. 500. Run him off and see what happens.

Russell was 6-4 in regular season and 7-5 to end the 2013 season in McGlones last year. I agree that TJ is a good coach and Russell is lucky to have him.

They were 7-5 in Coach McGlone's last year. 40-31 in his last six.

Russell took a step backwards last season, but I think they'll be in good shape going forward. It starts on Saturday night.

I will take Russell in this one. Greenup is a very good team and the results will make Russell look that much better. Russell's line is just average IMO and Conley and Blackburn will have to break some tackles. I feel some will be surprised with the improvement in the Russell passing game.
