Who wins this years mmlk back yard brawl?
#2
I think this will be a dandy of a game and with it being on Saturday, there should be a nice crowd. I'm planning to attend and expect Greenup Co's speed to be too much for Russell in a close one.

Anybody know what's going on with the field at GC.It looks like the redone it again. Is that like three times in three years??
#4
Gotta go with the Muskies here. I think Grizzle has the kids believing and Russell doesnt seem to have another big time play maker outside of Conley. But, the coaching staffs are too familiar with eachother's systems for anyone to go away easy.

Devils by 6 in a tight one.

I agree with Ric. I got the Devils winning a close defensive battle by less than a touchdown.

Greenup is hungry for a win over their cross county rivals. Greenup could have one of their best teams ever this year and I can see them going 9-1 this year with the only team that I don't think they have a good chance of beating being Johnson Central. Every other game will be very winnable by this Greenup team. With that said, they are coming off a big win and will have some confidence this week. I look for it to be close with Greenup pulling away late.

I feel like Russell has lost some of the respect they used to get from the area teams. I think it is time to TAKE it back. Greenup is a good team and the game should be close.

Grizz gives Russell reality check! Greenup using speed and toughness to grit out a 21-16 win. Russell won't be able to rely just on Conley Greenup will stack the box and dare Russell to pass. Russell of course won't be able to pass efficiently enough to sustain any drives. Greenup will use speed and a little inginiuty to shock the overconfident Devils!...,, and this is coming from a Russell fan

The Devils need to come out with some fire in their bellies and set the tone for the rest of the season. Greenup's definitely a program on the rise, but I think TJ's going to have his guys ready to roll right from the get go. They won't need any fourth quarter magic from Conley this year. Russell wins this one by three touchdowns. :devilflam

That's debatable at this point.

This game should be similar to the way it was back in the early 2000s. Gritty and rough. Greenup, in those days were the ground and pound farm raised and corn fed boys, Russell the city slickers, but were still another ground and pound team under Ivan. Now you have a totally different look. Still run first offensively, but spreading teams out and trying to get atheletes into space. This has all the makings of a classic BYB. Too bad Raceland is at Ashland or Id be front and center for this one.

I'm going with GC on this one for obvious reasons. I think it will be a tight game with GC pulling it off in the end.

What is it exactly about the new regime that frustrates you? 11-3 and 8-4 in two years isn't exactly bad.
