NCC DID A RESPECTABLE JOB AS WELL, BOTH TEAMS HAD SOME KINKS, BUT THATS NORMAL THIS TIME OF YEAR. CONGRATS TO G EPLING WHO PROVED LAST NIGHT THAT GUTS= GLORY!!!! ROCK ON PIRATES!!!!

Preston played QB and although there were a few mistakes, overall he had a great game and will only improve with every day. Theres room for improvment with the entire O line. This team will come together and be just fine! Great D. Great 1st game for a usually slow starting team. Very impressed! People were saying NCC was going to roll Belfry. So taking everything into consideration...Im Very happy with their showing last night!!

Not taking away from a well played game by NCC, but I agree with crossbones. The score was 7--0 until Well in the 4th. There were some costly mistakes. But then NCC made mistakes too. I think they were pretty evenly matched. I dont think they were the better team at all. I think the best team won :thumpsup:

And last year? Few offenses could score on Matt Maynard, let alone the rest of the D.

I agree they were evenly matched....but to say Belfry should have won by 2 TDs is what got me.

Apparently I didn't phrase it very well or you just didn't read what I wrote. Yes, to answer your ?, I am going out on a ledge, but I don't think I was very close to the edge. The person I was replying to said that NCC was the better team and that only a few mistakes cost them the game. I was simply trying to make a point that Belfry had just as many if not more mistakes than NCC. I simply said if you take away all mistakes from both teams than Belfry would have won by 2 td. I did not say they should have won by 2 tds, I said would have won using the senerio I was talking about. Without any mistakes Belfry would have won by 2 tds, because they were inside the red zone 3 times more than NCC and made more mistakes inside the red zone. I think both teams were fairly evenly matched. I hope this is a little bit better for you too understand. Again, I was calling it the way I seen it. If NCC was the better team I would be the first to say it. :thumpsup:

Understand now. But then again, how many of this "mistakes" were caused my NCC's defense? I think it just gets me when people say that we should have onr by such-and-such but made mistakes. I understand that sometimes it is the teams fault, but then again, you have to give credit to the other team for causing the fumble, hurrying the QB into a bad throw, Covering a receiver causing him to drop a ball, etc.

Belfry won though, and I am glad by that btw...lol

Coulda shoulda woulda. Between the two of them, they put on a very entertaining game for the fans in attendance. A nailbiter right down to the end. Both teams had great moments and bad moments, both teams learned, improved, and tbh it won't matter come playoff time who won this game.

I'm from Belfry so I'm proud of our boys. NCC fans should be proud of theirs too.

Thats all true too! SOMETIMES it can be to the credit of the other team for causing mistakes. Sometimes not! I guess every play and game has its own call.
