I loved it. One of the best gym's I've been in. It's easily a top 3 nicest gym in the region. I think Perry's is bigger but I like Letcher's just a little better than Perry's. I think Knott has the best gym in the region but Letcher and Perry are both up there.

I agree with you about the beauty of the LCC gym. One of the nicest facities in Eastern Kentucky. My only gripe is I don't think 2,700 seats is a large enough gym to host the regional tournament. Having to go to split sessions is not the greatest idea for semifinal size crowds, but with smaller gyms there really isn't much choice. Leslie County hosted the region in 1985 and after what they experienced with crowd size and other problems they decided to not be a host anymore.
But as far as a nice and pretty facility (as well as their entire campus) you can't ask for any better place than Letcher Central
