Lack of Coaching Skill made up for by recruiting ability
#61
I dont think the big wide kid from Wayne County got real low. He just layed on them. He was probably about 5'11/6'0 and about 250 or a little bigger. They should of got a little dirty with him or something. Seemed like they wanted out of the game to me. I think they could of showed a little emotion. A hard foul or something every now and then, a push in the back, at least something. You cant coach or teach HEART.

I agree!! I thought the bigs didnt show up and didnt play with a ton of effort. The little cornett better be ready this season, he is the only true big they have.

Exactly!!! Coaches may win games, but a lot of the times they don't prepare kids for the pace of college basketball.

The point I brought up earlier in this thread. Either Eastern KY doesn't have the talent to compete on the state level or the coaches are not preparing them for the next level.

I agree, but please tell me a school in this state that has won a state championship with all players from their school district. I would really like to know!!!! I hear about shelby valley and im hoping ALL those kids are from the place i hear they are. Someone please give me some insight on this!!!!

Christian County did. Those kids played together for 4 years and thrived under Kerry Stovall, who knows how to "let loose of the reins" and let his horses run unlike that slow-motion offence coaching Alan Hatcher:Cheerlead

I've not read all of the posts on this thread, so if this has already been said, I apologize. if anyone thinks that Allan Hatcher has a lack of coaching skill, they are nuts. From what I have heard, the Paige kid is off the charts in ability, but PCC was going to be a solid #1 anyway in the region and a good part of that is due to the man on the sidelines.
