Lexington Christian 63 - Breathitt County 21

We understand now completely. Breathitt county lost to Sheldon Clark, Prestonsburg, Perry Central and Lexington Christian 63 to 21 because they are playing possum. It makes sense now. IMO They have just lost to some pretty good teams not the fact the are sandbagging for the playoffs.

if this is true there better flip the switch now beofre its to late, once you start doing something one way ,its hard to change itTongueirateSho go pirates i am just little over hr from bg now would love to see them on dec 4th...

Everyone keep this on the game and off each other.

TheBrahmaBull Wrote:Agreed. He is not off by much on his incompletions from what I can see. The problem is he is only passing on obvious passing downs and the defense is playing zone coverages that he is not reading very well. Even I can devise a defense that can stop an offense that runs a run on 1st and 2nd down and pass on 3rd down play calling.

Exactly. If they would mix up the running and passing they would do a lot better. It would make Jade a passing threat and a running threat. Plus Channing is always a threat running. Breathitt has some decent recievers that can catch the ball.

Alot of you people on here just kill me me at times. I can go back on early threads where some of you have coach Holcomb one of the best coaches around . Which in my mind he is his record speaks for it self. Now most of you want his head on a stick. All i am saying stay on one side of the fence Dont be just a fan when they are winning. Breathitt has played some good teams i hope that they will get things turned around. Yes the bobcats was a little over rated this year. They lost more then alot of people thinks. They losts some key lineman linebacker ends the lost play makers Ryan Dusty scott and that hurts. There was just so much talk on fugate everybodys has just forgot about the ones that are gone. Breathitt has some good younger player this is not middle school it takes time to get some of them ready to play. All kids are not the same. I wish the Bobcats all the luck in the world. And also they lost one of the best Defense minds in the game. I guess what i am saying be true blue to the bobcats and they will be True to you. Go Bobcats

TheBrahmaBull Wrote:It is regular season, and it means nothing. They could be overrated, but they could be "playing dead." As a fan I can hope for the ladder. As a Jacket fan you can hope for the prior. Your opinion is no more "right" than mine and to think it is is just plain ignorant.

They could be, but why would they??? That makes no sense whatsoever. Do you even know the definition of "playing possum"? I know Holcomb is a better coach than to let his team "play dead". As a Breathitt fan, you should know that too. Internalize this for me, Breathitt has lost four straight games (Sheldon Clark at Inez, Prestonsburg at home, Perry Central at home, and LCA on the road). The first two losses don't look so bad, seeing that two good teams slightly won in close games. The last two look embarrassing two Breathitt's season. Come on BBull, do you really think playing "possum" is losing by three TD's on your home field and getting destroyed by 40+ points in the next game. PCC and LCA are great teams as well, problem is that you claim Breathitt is too.

Why aren't any other Breathitt fans saying this BBull? Maybe because they understand what has taken place. Breathitt County is not playing "possum", they were/are just simply overrated.

I could not agree more Brahma Bull. Breathitt is definitely going to surprise some people come playoff time.

It's been awhile since I've posted, just been looking at what everybody has been saying about Breathitt. This is just my opinion.....

First off I would just like to say that Breathitt has one of the best head coaches in the state. Coach Holcomb is a coach that has been able to adapt to the changes over the years. What he does with his offense has proven to work. My thinking is, these boys aren't buying into it, and it almost seems like they don't trust each other.

One thing that Breathitt has never had a problem with is leadership. This year to me it just looks like nobody is stepping up and being that figure. Breathitt lost some key players, but I honestly don't think that Scott Bailey and Juan Little where that much better than Jared Wolfe and Ben Alex. Ryan Allen was a pretty big loss more so on his ability to block.(they never threw the ball last year lol). The biggest loss that the Bobcats have went through is when John Paul Chapman went to Pike Central. Don't get me wrong the coaches at Breathitt know what they are doing, but when you put Mike Holcomb and John Paul Chapman together, I would feel pretty confident with any team, if they are my coaches lol. John Paul deserves a head coaching job and hopefully he will have the faith of the folks over at Pike Central.

My opinion is if they could get some leadership, they could turn things around. Now this team is dealing with adversity, and something Coach Holcomb always said to us when I played, "if you want to be a champion, you have to deal with adversity."

Bobcats I wish you the best of luck. I hope you guys turn it around and I see you in Bowling Green. To you seniors, you don't want to look back and wonder what if. Step up and come together...I know you can do it. Trust your coaches, and trust each other.

I see where you are coming from but I just think that the playoffs start "...a new season..." and the Bobcats are coasting through a regular season now that they have underachieved. They will heal and go into the playoffs fresh and healthy and 3A in the Mountains is not as tough as it has been in years past, so they are still alive if they start playing up to even half the pre-season hype.

Breathitt has many problems and is not playing possum. I do think they have a chance to make it from the east though if they can get by Somerset. I just like getting people uptight on here, it is kinda funny.
