Best 3pt. Shooter in the 15th

bluedevils20 Wrote:Akers has hit around 50 but i really dont think his percentage is good, Crum has hit over 70 and shooting around 45-50 percent, Hall around 40 3's, shooting around 30-35 percent, Slone 28 and shooting 45 percent, Not sure on Justice, but his percentage is probably VERY high because he doesnt shoot very often. IMO its by far Crum 1st, Slone a close 2nd, and Justice a close 3rd. After those 3, thats about it from the 15th

Akers is shooting 41% thats pretty good for 140+ 3's...

True, But this is the best 3pt shooter. And who ever has shot 50 and has the highest percentage should be considered the better. And if anyone says any different it's bologna. Just like baseball. If I'm a coach and I see two guys with 200 hits in a season and one has 1000 at bats and the other has 800 at bats. Guess what. The one with 800 at bats is the better of the two and that is who I want. Numbers don't lie people.

Right, but you cant judge between two players with one making 45+ 3's out of around 110(41%)...and someone is shooting less than 70 3's and is making 45%(slone)...with that said Akers is taking Dbl. the 3's and only shooting 4% less...Thats pretty dagone good i must say...

Well, I guess this is where it shows that I am a baseball guy. Cause I look at numbers and numbers don't lie. Cause to me the guys shooting 70 3s and shooting 45% is the one I want compared to the 110 and making 41%. Cause it also shows me that the kid making the 45% is taking less because he is taking smarter shots, especially when he passes on the 3 and steps in and drains the higher percentage shot and shooting 62% from the field. It also shows me that if he were to take more 3s he would prolly make those too. I'm not downing the other kids. I just look at the numbers.

3pt. thread:thumpsup: ...Landon's game is 15ft. and in...although he can also stroke the 3...Landon's #'s are great...IMO his basketball IQ is what makes him so good...But this thread isnt talking about who is the smarter shooter...I bet Slone finishes the season shooting 40% behind the arc, because he will have slumps from behind the arc, as did Akers the first 2 or 3 games, but then the next 4 games he was 17/37...Landon will finish the season with a 40% clip IMO and so will Akers but on more att.(more makes as well, in result of those att.)
