I believe Jordan Hall is the best pure 3 point shooter, he's cash from outside the arch.

Cash from outside the arch? I agree is is a pretty decent shooter, but i have seen 3 games this year where he has gone 1/12, 1/12, and 1/8 from the 3 pt line. I just see Landon Slone being better than Hall, and Aaron Crum being better than both from the 3 pt line.

I agree completely

Wes Akers really surprises me with some of the 3's he has made. Most of his shots are at least 2-3 feet behind the line. Pretty accurate with them as well.

2.Akers
3.Slone
top 3 in the 15th IMO.

crum by far best 3 point shooter maybe top 3 in the state wait til his stats come out

From what I've seen this season its got to be Aaron Crum, even though my boy Jordan Hall can stroke the three ball, he really hasn't had a really good game from the outside since the Pikeville game.
01-06-2008, 02:31 PM
I voted for Crum. He's shooting over 50% from behind the arc so far this year and he's taking anywhere from 8-12 attempts a game. Thats pretty impressive. Looks like he has a commanding lead at this point in the polling.

Crum is running away with it...Does anyone know what he's done over the last 3 or 4 games?...I know against ER he had 13pts. and 3 3's...
01-06-2008, 07:08 PM
In his 2 games yesterday, he had 27 pts in the 1st game, (5 threes), and 23 pts the 2nd game, (6 threes)

When people say Aaron Crum is the top 3 point shooter in the 15th region, I have to shake my head in disbelief. Everyone has said Jordan Hall has had bad games from outside the arch. Aaron Crum has had them too, if not more. He's the most streaky shooter in this region. If I had to rank the top perimeter shooters, it'd probably go like this:
1. Logan Bryant
2. Jordan Hall
3. Wes Akers
4. Aaron Crum
5. Samuel Keathley
I'd say everyone forgot about Bryant and Keathley when it came to pure strokes from outside. Bryant, Hall, and Akers consistantly hit more shots from 3 than Crum and Keathley isn't a great shooter with pressure on him. And to say Crum is a top 3 3-point shooter in the state is stretching it to say the least. That was obviously posted by an Allen Central fan. I'm not trying to be hostile, I'm just calling it like I see it. Honorable mentions include Charlie Hunt from Phelps and Chandler Thompson from Lawrence County. Two very underrated players IMO.

I voted for akers because I've seen this kid pull many from 4 feet behind the line and it's net. Not only his range but his accuracy is great to. And I believe Aaron Crum should be second.

Aaron Crum By FARRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i dont know how many games you have seen, but Crum has hit over 70 threes this year in 15 games, and is shooting over 50 percent from 3. Can you name one other player in this area with stats even close to that? I have seen all of these shooters play, and Hall shoots his arm off as well as Akers, and as for Keathley, that's not even a comparison, Keathley has maybe hit 10 3's all year, and it's not from lack of shooting. Also, where is Elisha Justice in your top 5? or Landon Slone? Here is my top 5 and most will agree
1. Aaron Crum
2. Landon Slone
3. Elisha Justice
4. Jordan Hall
5. Wes Akers

Whats Crum's official stats?

Keathley and Akers are not in the top 5, jmo, i have seen these players play for a while, crum slone and justice are hands down better than these 2. I have only watched crum play a few games, but he can shoot the ball from outside the arch really good, everyone is gonna have a bad game every once in a while.

You've gotta be kidding right?...Akers is def. in the Top 5 in the region
Crum, Slone, Akers, Hall, and Justice in no part. order...
Akers hit 95+ 3's last yr...Has 50 or so, so far this yr....Yes he does shoot 10 or more a game but he also makes 4 or more a game also...He's around 40% or better for the year...
01-09-2008, 10:58 PM
I have akers in the top 5, 5th to be exact IMO, but i agree with you that keathley has no place even close to the top 5
01-09-2008, 11:02 PM
In order crum, slone, justice, hall, and akers if anything 5th, he shoots way to much to be considered a good three point shooter. I know he has to do that for his team, but i think you see my point.

Akers hit 88 threes last year to be exact, checked it on KHSAA stats from last year
01-09-2008, 11:15 PM
well we are talking about this year, players do change from one season to the next, im not saying hes a bad shooter

I accidently hit the 9 instead of 8 on my keyboard...he actually hit 91 i do believe...because the last game against AC wasnt added because the last updated report by SF was the day before they played AC...
01-09-2008, 11:16 PM
I know, i was just responding to a previous post that said he hit 95+

Yeah, but how many did he miss? It don't matter how many you hit. But, how many you make out of how many you shoot. Heck, I could hit 88 if I shot 15 a game.
Slone is 28/62 this season for 45%.
What are the other guys stats?
01-09-2008, 11:26 PM
Akers has hit around 50 but i really dont think his percentage is good, Crum has hit over 70 and shooting around 45-50 percent, Hall around 40 3's, shooting around 30-35 percent, Slone 28 and shooting 45 percent, Not sure on Justice, but his percentage is probably VERY high because he doesnt shoot very often. IMO its by far Crum 1st, Slone a close 2nd, and Justice a close 3rd. After those 3, thats about it from the 15th
