Looks bleak for Paintsville's Bundy
#31
Sorry to hear about Blake's injury. Get Well Soon. Our prayers are with him and his family
#32
What really gets me is this. It's a **** shame a kid has somethin like this happen to him all because he plays so dang hard. All those spills and wipeouts and even knockdowns took it's toll on Blake.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Blake and his family. He is a wonderful young man with a determined work ethic and I am sure he will be a success in anything he chooses to do throughout his life. Good luck to him in his future.

I hope blake has a speedy recovery, and can somehow return to the tigers, and help them bring the 15th region crown back to paintsville

Terrible news, hope and pray for a speedy recovery

So sorry and saddened to hear this. Blake has always been a great kid and a fantastic athlete. He and his family are in our prayers---from your old AAU family in Pikeville.

Yes Buck...much, much more in life than hoops.

He's making a wise choice. i wouldn't say his sporting days are over, just severely limited unless he wants another surgery. Uh, he doesn't, I promise.

Also, it's not a secret why I'm up at 4am, I truly understand. It's a lifestyle change for now. However, I'm quite confident, as I keep up for my own sake, that there will be an advancement in the treatment of these problems.

I, coincidentally, have the exact same problem now as Blake and have for over 2 years. The reason I haven't done anything...again...is that I'm holding out for the next best thing. I say this because, if I could give any advice, it's to not take any drastic measures, like fusion, and just get cleaned up.

It's not that the injury itself is so bad. the pain is really bad at times. It's that it can get worse so easy and flair up so easy. If you stay in good shape and udjust those things you need in life...no heavy lifting, bending at the knees, etc...and do something that's not pounding your body.

Fishing, surfing, diving, guitar and camping have replaced skiing, hoops, golf and drinking.

Sad to hear this. Paintsville's future was looking bright and its tough to get injured your senior year. Hope he has a full recovery. Who is going to step up and take over his place?

I think we can close this one as of now. Hopefully it will never have to be opened ever again.

I remember a number 4, who had kind of shaggy hair, a start with a long beard, and a big man they played, and Sloan. Is this Blake kid you all speak of any of them descriptions I just named?

#45, shaggy yes!!! beard, yes.....pure hotdog!!!! You betcha!!!! LOL!!!
Fun to watch!!! And I'd say he scares the beejeebus out of his coach sometimes!!! Other times.....he looks like he should be on "AND1"!

Ok I know him. This was actually the only kid that didn't have some sort of trash talking and something smart to say. But I can't say much because they were beating us 30-3 at one point, they were good, and they could back it up so good job to them. And #45 was the one with the real long beared and looked crazy. He was a pretty good player from what I seen, even though not their best 2, which was Sloan and #4, he was still a solid player and didn't have anything to say after he made a good play or basket, he just played the game. But anyways, hope he gets better, he was a class act and a good player.

Well I've heard so many versions and changes regarding Blake's condition that it is hard to know what to believe. I wouldn't chance anything serious if I were Blake just for the sake of playing. BUT IF there is any way for Blake to be back with a good degree of medical safety, that would be the best news I've heard in a long time. Either way, I wish the best for Blake!

Ok yes I remember him. He was one of the players who didn't trash talk.. lol He played the game and smoked us alive and did it with manners. He made a shot or good play he didn't taunt us or say much, he respected us, well me anyways, so I give him that. I hope he is alright and my prayers are with him. Even though they were beating us 30-3 at one point and their whole team was talking smack to us besides him..lol

Poor kid. Sounds like he was a very friend player at that. I really hope that he is blessed with a healthy future. My prayers are with him.
