Blakes Mom was just here, and said the results from the MRI shows a herniated(sp) L5 and S1.
Looks like Blake's roundball days might be over. Still keep him in prayers.
We are all very saddened by this but are elated that he will be just fine and be able to live a productive life!!

I wish him a quick recovery and I am saddened when a young person is injured like this. I know he and his family are disappointed. However, his injury could have been worse. Get well soon young man we wish you well.

I had the same injury happen as a JR in high school, and I continued to play, 3 surgeries later I can say he is making the right choice by not playing.
Sad to hear, but good luck in life and I hope you recover.

Hate to hear...Over the past several years he has provided many of us with dazzling plays and passes and just over the past summer experienced a tremendous summer in preparing for his senior season.
Wish him the best and look for the other Tigers to play with even more of a determination in accomplishing the first regional title in what many felt would be several regional titles for this group of seniors.

I hate to hear this about any kid! I wish B. Bundy all the best and if there is any way possible I hope he can play basketball again this year. If not this has to be a huge blow to the Tigers hopes of winning the 15th regional tournament and advancing to Rupp Arena.

I know another young man who had to miss his senior season a couple of years ago due to a back injury after devoting his entire life to developing his talent as well. In their eyes the world has come to an end. I guess it is true that there will be a life after, but it sure aint easy to accept after losing your first love. Best of luck Blake, and well wishes from here on out.

I hate to hear this, as I thought that Blake was playing some of the best basketball of his high school career and he certainly provided the leadership on the floor that the team needed this year. But I know the seriousness of this type of injury and I don't blame Blake one bit for giving it up. He has his whole life ahead of him and it just isn't worth the risk even it he somehow could play again.
Best of luck Blake and thanks for all that you have done for the Tigers! You certainly won't be forgotten by the Tiger fans!

Bundy is one of my good friends and its really sad that his senior year and life of bball and sports in general are over. It is a sad sad thing to here. I wish the best of luck the rest of life on what ever he decides to do with it. I also hope this helps the tigers get over the hump at the Expo center and make there way to the state tourney and play for state championship or at least get there. Best of luck

Get well soon from Knott County.

It's tough anytime an athlete can't play the sport that they love anymore, especially due to injury. The Bundy family will be in my prayers, and I hope for a speedy recovery to this excellent young man. Best of luck to Blake and whatever path in life he chooses.

I know very well that fact as well, because it was thought the same for the other young man also. Very difficult situation.
