59th District Championship Pikeville 74 - SV 68
#31
As a neutral observer... Officiating effects the game. Always does. But the thing that always upsets me is when somebody gets made because one team shot more free throws or was called for more fouls than the other team. Of course there was a difference. Very rarely does one team foul the exact amount as the other team.

if one team plays a zone, odds are they foul less than a team playing aggressive man to man. If one team presses they're likely to foul more than a team that doesn't.

This isn't complicated. figuring out how a game is being called and adjusting the gameplan to that is important for any team.

I’d say Valley gets some called on them because there Coach acts like a completely insane idiot most of the time

jetpilot Wrote:Clay County game I asked if Pikeville got hosed because 2 players got techincals and a fan got thrown out, which happens maybe once every 10 years. 64SUR told me his opinion and Wheatfarmer told me what he saw as well, and I thanked them. Never accused refs of cheating. Only you are doing that. Now I'm really done.

Never accused refs of cheating, eh? Another poster on the Clay-Pikeville thread asked if anyone played for Clay that didn't in the earlier game between the two. Your response...

Saying that the refs were on Clay County's side is not claiming cheating? You sure about that?

Again, I never mentioned cheating myself. I also never said the refs were biased toward Pikeville, like you had claimed they were biased in favor of Clay County. Again, go back and re-read your own posts.

"This is getting pathetic. These refs are determined to have SV playing their JV against Pikeville’s varsity before this is over."

Either your reading comprehension skills are horrible or you can't see your monitor because you still have tears in your eyes over the district championship. I made a joke about Clay Co because someone said all their players were out in the game at Pikeville. If you read the thread, and actually comprehend it, AGAIN I asked 64SUR what happened and he and Wheatfarmer told me and I thanked them and that was it.

When (if) you ever stop crying and can see your monitor clearly and are able to move on...well never mind looks like none of them are possible.:HitWall:

Again, I never implied anything nefarious on the part of the refs. I facetiously said they were determined to have the JV team in by the end of the game. Anyone else reading would clearly know that statement was an observation that if the fouls kept being called on SV's starters at the same rate, then most of them would be fouled out by the end of the game. I never used the word cheating, you were the one who brought that up on here.

I can promise you my comprehension skills are just fine. You, on the other hand, were quite clearly implying that the refs were on Clay County's side. Maybe you are regretting saying that now and trying to backtrack, but it is what it is. I think you're not used to having someone call you out on your hypocrisy on here. You got called on it, just accept it and move on.

It appears that you have a strange obsession with me on here. You were the one who initially got your feelings hurt over my opinions on the game, and made it personal with me in this thread. Then, when I tried to discuss the game with one of Pikeville's more level-headed fans, you got your feelings hurt again and came at me once more. You should take your own advice and just let it go.
