Mjolnir Wrote:Advice to Elisha,( just my opinion); You should consider the Pikeville job,if it is offered to you.
Reason 1. School with great tradition
2. Lots of backing from community
3. An A D with experience in coaching
4. Last thing is you need some guidance and help in coaching and dealing with
Parents. You are not a proven coach as of now.
Did you seriously just try to give advice to Elisha on here and tell him to take the Pikeville job???
Your #1 reason and only reason should have said.
Reason 1. Please Elisha take the Pikeville job so Hicks doesn't have all these SV fans wanting me out and him in as the SV head coach.
He missed on the Bath job and now he's nervous.

I did SERIOUSLY! Rumors abound of all these schools wanting him to coach. If it comes down to Pikeville and Pike Central, IMO he should go to Pikeville, he and Booer have a good relationship. I don't know why you keep bringing up SV, that job is not open. You can keep dreaming that Elisha will go there and not Pikeville, but that is just a dream. Hmmm, maybe you feel the Pikeville job should be yours? Did you apply?

No one knows where Justice is going he had a meeting with Belfry Thursday sounds like everybody in the 15th wants him since I know him very very well I can tell you you people don't have a clue

I have no inside knowledge about the Pikeville job but if Justice was offered he would accept. No brainer. You can agree or disagree with what the powers that be at Pikeville are doing with basketball, but you can believe they know what they want and are executing their plan.

Disagree!

What has Pville won in Bball in the last 7-8 years? Is it the job that can't be turned down? I think not. Sounds like this job was opened up for Justice and he'll be good one as he's shown so far. Pville has a very talented player in Battle to build around but the next coach will have to reel in some recruits from outside the city/county limits and that takes little Johnny's spot. When this happens the Panther Faithful become restless and can't go to Rupp and take the cheerleaders!
If Justice doesn't take the job Pville will spin it that he interviewed but wasn't offered and they decided to go in a different direction.

Elisha was a good player. He needs time to become a good coach. Pikeville is not the "high profile" job they think it is. If they had patience and were willing to build along with Elisha, I think things could be great there in 2-3 years.
Rather than expect transfers, get a good feeder program. I hate the "transfer" mentality.

Smoke signals rolling in. All signs point to Greg Newsome and Elisha Justice as a package deal.

Bart Williams was done wrong. I'm sure he saw the writing on the wall when Booher was hired, but to be replaced by an inexperienced coach that your AD has a man crush on has to hurt.

It also sounds like he has defied the search committee as they wanted Ryan Whitaker from Powell County instead of Justice.
Sounds like a whole lot of fuss to hire a puppet for Booher to coach.

Booher needs to be in Washington

Me wonder why students were pulled out of class for press conference? Always hear Pikeville is all about academics. Apocalypse coming.

Looks like AD new chief on campus. Defying committee recommendation not smart. Smoke signals say could be downfall of whole administration.
